What have you done to your MSP today?

1 mod down... 3 more to go :).. installed the new AEM TruBoost with digital gauge...peak at 9.3 psi.. not doing that again till i get the other stuff installed. (ssafc, innovate wideband, greddy tt)

yeah, they do look a little funny on the commercial I watched earlier. They look a little bigger than normal blades for some reason but they look like they do a damn good job

The Bosch ones are better and look better

I think those might be the ones I have on my car now.. might be wrong but I'll check those out,

I was always curious to try out those autozone mic orange windshield wiper blade holder things lol, but no way in hell am i putting that on my car, would be funny though

someone's gotta know, I did a quick search through the how-tos and didn't get an answer:

is it possible to replace the exhaust mani without pulling off the turbo?

most confusing post evar.

I mean it would be easier to just take the turbo off too instead of trying to work around it lol

I agree that was confusing, i read it again and started laughing my ass off. If you want to do it in the true msp fashion then yes, by all means leave it on

Yeah, well, I replaced my WGA without taking anything else off too and I'm glad I did. more time and work into fewer bolts is OK with me if it means fewer complications down the road.

I finally wired up my volt meter. Took me forever to tap into the power source I was trying to get. Now my stupid radio squeeks XD. I also changed my oil and discovered the turbo oil return line has a minor leak. I found the small coolant leak as well that I've been smelling on and off since I bought the car - on the hose that connects to the turbo feed. Other than that, I've decided there's no possible way for me to change out the rear motor mount (one of the mount bolts is stripped to hell and back) so I'll be tossing some corksport inserts for sale soon :(

if u have the stock mani i wouldnt even try it, i had a hard time getting the turbo off a stock mani when it off the car lol
my thunder i COULD but i always take the whole turbo-spipe-mani combo off at once, its a ton easier

2. Another candidate for tinted windows..(whip)

3. My daughter is horrified that Mickey is in peril! (no)

4. Nice shifter knob. That's from Perrin? (cool)

5. 215/45/17 shoes on MX 5 rims require fender rolling? (uhm)

Told ya that those Ichiba extended lugs were a mother to install!

take them both of, I had to take off the mani last weekend to check and fix the exhaust leak I had coming from there, luckily my mani wasn't cracked like I thought it was, I just had to clean and reposition the gasket, but I got all the way to the oil line coming into the turbo on the top, couldn't get the damn thing off!, I had already drained the entire coolant system, but that little oil line does not come off easily, I couldn't move it, and I didn't want to strip it, so I just kinda moved it around, but you'd have to get it off if you wanted to change anything out, I got lucky.. and I dono, maybe with the movement and if you can't get yours off you might be able to get the turbo off the manifold without taking off the turbo oil lines,.. but the last 2 times I have tried (1 with this car and the other when I was stripping my crashed msp) they were both bitches to try to get off. .gl ..

but over all, taking everything off and the turbo is much easier I think than trying to just screw around with the turbo/mani bolts, the back right bolt would be almost impossible to get off I think...

i completely pulled and disassembled a fsde yesterday. was not even close to as hard as i thought it would be. sadly it wasnt my msp lol. i will be acquiring another fs to disassemble for myself though in the near future :)

1. Thanks! I'm lovin the look too.

2. Portland police have no sense of humor when it comes to tint.... If I did it it would be so light that I'm not sure its worth it.

3. Yeah.... tell your daughter that she saved Mickey(kiss). But watch for a new endangered species, coming soon!

4. The shifter is Perrin; the knob is Mitsubishi. It was a new, old stock part for the 3000GT. Nardi leather and heavily weighted. Feels really good!

5. I've got a 1" drop, which is just enough to put the tire into the fender at top dead center when I go up and down my driveway or hit a speed bump. My Enkei wheels had a 45 offset without spacers but no rub ever. My new tires are Yokohama S-Drives and they have a much more square shoulder and are overall chubbier than the BF Goodrich tires I removed. I definitely can't have any riders in the back seat til I get it fixed.

The lugs would've gone much easier with an impact wrench, or if I'd pulled the hubs off the car first. Glad I won't have to do that again!

My wrists go bling, my wrists go blau...

So what color are the stock injectors supposed to be? I have 2 green and 2 purple. Sound right?

I guess the production people felt colorful that day? haha, I got nothin.. gotta has to do with different injector ports or something maybe?

no idea really other then different injector sizes whiche would explain the different colors but wouldnt that be extremely hard to tune? Plus I would like to think that they are all the same injector size myself.
