Still needs to be washed n waxed, and put grill back on.

Man, that sucks......

I washed and waxed my car. First time I waxed it since the new paint.... it shines like CRAZY! I love it.

Called my garage about my car being done with the tranny install. He said that maybe she'll be done Monday..... :(

30k mile maintenance service/check by dealership: oil change, replace plugs and quick wash for her. Manager told me the techs in the service department were fighting over who got to drive/work on her...

Gee that's funny. Seems like the guys at my local dealer have no idea the car even exists.

It was a good day! I got the extended studs installed on the front hubs (did the rears a few days ago) and got the new wheels mounted. I changed the oil and filter (Royal Purple FTW), and removed, cleaned up and re-installed my sandwich plate and oil pressure sending unit, since I had been getting some error readings on the gauge cuz of bad contact of the wire to the sender. And while I was under the car I installed the new TWM urethan shifter bushings and put on my new shift knob. It was a new/old stock Nardi leather, baseball stitched knob that was originally made for the Mitsubishi 3000GT. No metal knob to fry my fingers this summer! And its a couple ounces heavier than the stocker.

hopefully ill get the transmission in tonight. but idk its hard with only one person.

Ya, resetting the tranny and getting it by the frame and lining up the bell housing is a b**** with only 1 person, unless you have a hoist.

Hey man by any chance could you tell me how much did it cost you to get your whole car repainted? 1500?(scratch)

Try closer to 2.5k for a good paint job without a hook up. Thats without it being a el cheap 500 fact-o-bake paint job.

Well I believe he actually painted it himself and did have a major hookup so I'm pretty sure he paid less than 1k.

His fam owns a body shop. He did in fact do the paint himself, and did a damn good job to boot. (2thumbs)

Yeah, I did all the prep work my self and Then I took it to another guys shop and let him spray it. I did that because of dust. In our shop we just do the best we can about the dust but since we own the cars we fix and usually they are not worth over 8 grand or so we just try to do a good fast paint job that will hold up because you cant put a 800-1500 dollar paint job on a car your probably only gonna make 700-1000 dollars on anyways. So I ended up having like less than 300 bucks in painting the whole car.

Here are some pics, these are not in order.
