What have you done to your MSP today?

That's been my approach with the car. I paid cash for it and am staying away from further engine/performance mods. I bought this car BECAUSE I missed my old Protege and nothing could make me smile the way the old one could...

Hell yea, I fell in love with my MP3, and that s*** was slow haha. I should have just put a turbo on that thing. Paid off, pretty good condition, cheaper insurance...

Just got home from the shop right now. It was supposed to be done Wednesday, then Thursday, then today lol. But the tech told me everything looked pretty good actually.
-changed oil to royal purple
-mounted new wheels / tires (alignment next week)
-inspected suspension (no blown struts or anything horrific, but he pointed out the bad endlink on the rear swaybar which was no surprise...so he greased all the bushings on the front and rear swaybar and it sounds better)
-inspected motor mounts and shockingly...they were not broken! We both decided that forgetting the rear motor mount would be a wise decision because of the vibrations and hassle of putting it in. Expect to see it in the For Sale section soon lol.
Crisis averted, and things are starting to look up. Tomorrow I hope to get my new slim fans in and maybe Sunday I can get my dad to fix this wire I ****** up on the ECU.

It's alright DJ. No need to be offensive in the MSP section. I know you come here expecting to deflect comments, kind of like me working at a Honda dealership while driving a Mazda. I have to constantly deflect all the Vtec over turbo hype. Yea that's right, some of those guys actually try to make fun of me for having a turbo instead of "NA awesomeness". What they don't realize is that they need to drop a different motor in their car to keep up.

again, no, I'm not. LOL
maybe I should be though. As of discovering my mani crack, I believe I have now experienced EVERY known MSP failure except putting a rod through the block.... (assuming the electronics failures happened before I got it, as it came with a replaced HU and no amp)

msp or not, we still have the same bad engine. ha.
