Washed, waxed my car and dynamat'ed the trunk. Honestly, I don't see that much of a difference for the rattles..

Attempted to install the sandwich plate today and i miserably failed. The middle screw doesnt push the plate all the way down. So i tried by tightening the filter over it but it leaked. Im confused. Did i get the wrong item or do i need to use washers or something.
You need to take about 3/4 to 7/8 of an inch off the main threaded shaft. When you shorten it you can suck the sandwich plate up tight.

Again, I had the same problem and went all over the forum looking for an answer. Everyone said the same thing; just cut some off. Most said an inch; I cut 3/4", and was able to suck the thing up tight. I put the end I cut up into the motor so no one would know I cut it, then realized that with a filter on no one would see it anyway... lol
