What have you done to your MSP today?

You need a big-assed socket to get on the nut that holds the oil cooler... I think its 24mm but don't quote me. Or you can clamp a vicegrip on the shaft down at the lower end; it won't matter if you bung up the threads a little, since you'll be cutting that part off.

BTW...the tires look hawt!

MY ******* MOTOR BLEW....

FML... **** MY LIFEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Its not the time for this....

But with only 400$ in my bank... with a credit card bill of 400$... hahaha I have 0$ right now. Hopefully my mom and dad can help some, or if Sam can hook me up with payments... to bad hes not on AIM right now...

I THINK oil starvation, because i went around a courner and the oil light poped on, but nothing made a noise or anything, but then i stoped at a gasstation and filled her up, and put a quart of oil in it, and then 10 mins down the road it started ticking, I droped my friend off to go home, and BAM 2 mins from his house it blew... It sucked cause its 1AM in the morning, just like when my LSD went... it was 1 AM... haha

Hrm.. and they is why I check my oil as often as 3 times a day! yes i really do check my oil that much. Hopefully its just a spun bearing but then again if the bearing spun hows the turbo? Oh btw I have never heard of a car break down being good. lol

They always happen at the worse time. I had one car break down 3 times in one week(blew rad hoses and couldn't aford to replace all at once) and had to walk home each night about 20 miles and still get harrassed by the cops on the walk home because I was out late. To make it work the car broke down each time about a blow from where it previously broke down at midnight(gotoff work at 11pm)

Sorry got a little off subject there. Whats the game plan now man? Hopefully thats not your DD.

but the oil light indicates oil pressure, not oil level. don't know if adding more oil was the problem, but perhaps there was something else going on...?

Well, the fact that he went around a turn and the oil light came on seems to indicate that it was level. If there wasn't enough oil in the pan, when he went around the corner it sloshed away from the pickup and briefly starved the engine.

I'd like to hear/see a video of the ticking sound you're getting. Two of my previous engine failures on my 2000 Protege were preceded by engine ticking. The first was a bent rod, the second was a failure of a wrist pin. I'm praying that its either of those bud.

What mods are you running to the engine?

Sucks. We all live in fear of this day. Mazda didn't put this feature on the window sticker did they.

The tickeing was quite loud, It sounded like a valve tap but louder lol,

My car is now in my back garage... now to figure out what im going to do... If only Sam was on AIM... haha

but if the oil was that low he's either burning it or leaking it. unless some one just forgot to put oil in it on the last oil change! like i said, there must have been something else going on... you can't just run out of oil.

I might be getting a head and block for 150$... we will see

But heres two pics

I only agree to an extent. My first engine in my 2000 had maybe 95k miles on it, and I was young, dumb and full of... well, nevermind, Anyways, I was not in the habit at that time of checking the oil in-between changes (dumb), but a NA Protege with bolt-ons? What could go wrong?

I simply ran out of oil. No indications of burning, no leaks, just tiny ammounts of it burning off and just plain ran out. Cars are weird, they can do some unexpected stuff.

Though by the pictures he posted, there might have been a leak.. Really feel bad for you bro. (coffee)

Already looking to spending a bunch up money huh man lol. For some reason around here if you go to a fairly cheap machinest and ask them how much it would cost to hae them do your head there price triples...

But good luck on getting Her up and running quick. You'll start to miss her.
