Didn't even get to have the car 1 weekend without having trans issues again!!! Now im having 3rd and 4th gear issues....

last friday(24th) I picked up the after having 3rd gear replaced, 3rd gear slider, and a complete rebuild of the trans and I'm already haivng isssues to! Sigh.. when will this year ever end..

Damn. I sense my tranny might be on it's way or out, or at least 1 piece of it. Trying to do a trans fluid change asap.

It's sometimes, feeling a bit notchy. Not as smooth as before when shifting, sometimes. Not all the time. But I'm overdue for trans oil, and oil change.

72k almost. trans fluid was changed once, replaced clutch, years ago.

By the way 323, what weight do I use for the trans., does it matter?

I'm leaning toward's, either this Royal Purple or Mobil 1, 75w .... ?

You might need new motor mounts man, My trans has 120k miles on it, and it runs like new. Because my trans wasnt smooth at all while shifting, fixed it by getting new motormounts all around.

that wouldnt cause a creeking noise everytime I press the clutch in would it?

I ask cuz I can't figure it out... It's not the throw out bearing or anything that I or my mechanic can figure out. but when I pulled the motor I took the tranny mount off and if fell apart and on my foot... it was destroyed to say the least.

well just check your mounts, All my (every single one of them lol) were torn.

I think the rear mount on the MSP is farked but I honestly dont want to deal with replacing it lol

mine was shredded at 72K, had the shop do it while they were in doin the diff. lol

I've heard the same....I dont want to have to pull the IM to go from up top and I'm not sure hom much easier it is from below as it would be easier just to put it in the air on jack stands and clib under.
