What have you done to your MSP today?

Cleaned her out for a weekend of AutoX. Rotated the tires and installed a new wideband O2 sensor.

are the lightweight pulleys really worth it ? all 4 of them including crank, do they really make any difference ? what are the benefits from using them... thanks..

u could just ask ME on MSN! noob!
lol

Light weight pulleys is, you can say like a lightweight flywheel. It frees up HP due to the weight of the pulleys.

Does that make scene? haha

this is better explained

"That didn't make too much sense. 2 pounds less of rotational mass will not make much of a difference on a 3200 pound car?

Rotating mass and regular mass is different.

1 pound of rotating mass free's up around 2 WHP.

So your telling me a light weight flywheel isn't going to make a much of a difference either right? I mean, you just really shaved off 10 pounds from a 3200 pound car.

You got it all wrong. If you shave off 10 pounds of rotating mass, you will notice a signitificant difference. Why do you think all of a sudden the engine revs much faster?

Same thing applies with rims. You put on massive chrome 20" rims and you will soon find out your running slower times in the 1/4 mile."

Wait... so you're saying by adding lightweight pulleys and a lightweight flywheel, you should notice a nearly 24 whp difference? Hmm...

no Lol

That was a reply to something else in the convo on the site.

But its just the point of Rotating mass, you dont want any if you can, the less the better and faster it rev's up!

welp.. i leave sunday 525 am to pick up my car... woot.. TN to MD.. 15 hour drive alone! it's all good. i'm the proud owner of #2707

and, i will get pics up asap.

grats man

ok so does the MSP not like MBC's?

I have tried two on my car

A perrin and i cant stay under 15psi, and i have tried swapping it every which way possible

And an accuboost MBC, i cant below 14psi with it.

With out a MBC im at 8psi, which sucks cause when my motor wasnt built i was at 10-11psi.

i want like 11-12psi cause my clutch is letting out at 14psi :(

I used a cheap VooDoo Boost brand one and I didn't have any problem with it. Maybe they have a stronger spring in them when the tension is all the way off. That's kind of a weird situation there.

make sure you stop at a white castle on the way back. if you have a tom tom there is one near border of tenn and va

Anyone here know if is worth the money on buying all of the Pulleys including crank lightweight? any true benefits of it besides that looks better than oem....

Less rotational mass which frees up more hp able to get to the wheels....works the same way as a lightweight flywheel just on the other end of the engine.
