What have you done to your MSP today?

if youre just doing bolt ons 3" would be kinda overkill

exactly, unless you're doing engine management, and arguably a 28RS (or bigger) 3" isn't really going to give you a gain over a 2.5"... (not bothering to list all the other supporting mods that would be done with this setup too... we all know)

eh. not necessarily. might not cost much more for 3"... and he gets to say he has a 3" exhaust. My point is that a 3" is not likely to gain power over a 2.5". nothing more, nothing less.

i dont wanna buy what's already out there. i'll be going 3". and i'll be getting it made. hopefully i can find a way to fab up a 3" dp. this will be cheaper than buying things already out.

there are many who have talked about making a DP, very few who have pulled it off. buy terbow's when he finishes it, then fab your own from there back.

I would LOVE to see SER's before and after dyno, he's one that MIGHT be able to make use of a 3", and I'll bet gains would be marginal.

edit: screw it, I'd love to see dyno pulls with your cutout open and closed... same effect.

Yeah man, Id love to have a Three inch down pipe. But 3 inch is really cutting it close down there as far as room. The corksport is doing fine right now. No complants from me.

my plans don't warrant a DP. I was lookin at terbow's 2.5"... but my exhaust mod plans are limited to a midpipe until my build reaches a WHOLE nother level. that and a FMIC are basically my only planned power adders... maybe a tune as much for mileage as power at some point... if I keep it. lol

glad we're still on the topic of exhausts. i almost forgot. if you take a look at my pictures again you'll notice that the tip all but touches my bumper. i used the CS exhaust hangars so it wouldn't sway around but now i have the opposite problem. any ideas? i don't want it to melt my bumper :(

You can either bend the hangers which doesn't always work out, or loosen all the exhaust bolts, take a handle of a screw drive and place it between your lip and muffler tip then starting from the front tighten everything back up.

alright i'll talk to my friend and see what he can do about it.

on another note, my smic, bov, and hard pipes should be coming by UPS today!

Hey as soon as I get this frikin motor out of the MSP I have a company ready to make me a 3 in... and I'm sure theyd be willing to make a few more for other members. and I wouldnt go to a company I dont trust for anything on my car. Salm Racing have been around for years they're more of a big block company, but they did alot of work on the '55, Plus hes a buddy of my days from back in his top fuel funny car day so hoping for a discount lol
