What have you done to your MSP today?

Installed the HIDs last night. They look really good, not all ghey blue like. just bright.

Gotta adjust my headlights tonight cuz I took it out just to test them last night and got flashed by a car pretty much immediately...

only pic I have is of the tiny ballasts lol DDM FTW

pick up a soldering kit from Radio shack, its like $12 and try it out. Thats all I did and can solder ok now :D

the key to good soldering is making sure the soldering iron has had enough time to get to maximum temp. then lightly heat the objects to be soldered, touch the solder to the iron and allow the solder to drop onto the connection. then use the iron to spread it where needed. make sure you have a block of wood covered in aluminum foil to rest the iron on until it cools after you unplug it. also make sure you buy the right kind of solder for the job. different jobs requre different types of solder. the local hardware store or home depot should be able to tell you what kind you need

Hey, thanks guys! I'm going to order a new ribbon and try this myself when I get back from vacation. I'll let you know how it goes. (thumb)

Also make sure you are using the right temp iron, many electronics use a lower heat so you don't pop any of the circuits, the heat travels through the wire pretty far. If you're solderig on any board then use the lower heat, if it is just to connect two wires together then high heat is fine. Also I insert the sodler wire right at the joint of the iron to wire and it sends the solder throughout the wire and not just on the surface.
