well they sent a guy over here today to take pics, so i guess i will know by mon or tues. so far i have thought of two senarios, one: they pay to get it it fixed which im fine with. two: they total the car and give me 12-13 grand, which will give more options like buyng another msp off here, swiching all my parts over then selling my other one.(this is what i want to happen)

Yeah dude... I think (depending on Mileage of course) all they MIGHT give you in a perfect storm scenerio would be more like 8-10K. Still a nice chunk o' change though.

the reason i say 12-13 is cause when the insurance compay totaled my last car they gave me 4600 for it with it being a 13 year old car and 100,000 on the clock. it was only worth 3200 and the repairs were only 2600, so they are pretty generous. so fingers crossed.

yeah but the insurance companys were not in financial trouble back then like they are now. They are really hurting with all of the huricanes and things.

That doesnt change what the car is valued at..

NADA says my friends 97 cobra was worth 9400, which he paid ~9k for it a few months ago.. He wrecked it (hydroplaned) right before christmas and they cut him a check for over 11k..

well fix one problem, uncover another. it was the battery, it was DEAD put a new battery in and started right away, but fix one problem, uncover another. my intercooler pipes, air intake pipe and fans were covered in coolant. the nipple on the radiator right below the radiator cap broke off spraying coolant everywhere. the fuckhead who had the car before me must have broken it off and glued it back on caue you can see glue on it. my mechanic is gonna try and jb weld it back on if not i gotta get a new radiator

Filled it up and averaged 25.4mpg(about average for me) and had my grandma make a cover for the shifter. So now my hand doesn't freeze when its 21 degrees outside(not that its like that very often but still).

I dont know how well jb weld hold ups to heat but you might want to try epoxy.

I just drove my friend's 08' white Civic SI and I officially want to get rid of the msp asap, its a huge pos in comparison to the honda. Anyway, I'm going to pick up the msp from Miami tomorrow, hopefully I'll forget about how nice the SI is after driving the MSP again.

i made the mistake of test driving a Speed 3 last summer and i've been obsessing ever since. i'm to the point of actually listening and waiting for an excuse to sell the msp. i went to the dealer a couple weeks ago for a silver Speed 3 GT. they offered me 5,000 for my msp, which i accepted because i was so excited, and got approved for the speed 3. in the end i had to walk away because i was upside down in payments. son of a b****.

well i found a chip on my driver door where the black decal id around the window. so i pulled it off and repainted them...and started making a heat shield for the bumber where the exhaust comes out.....then helped a fellow fourm member with his car
