What have you done to your MSP today?

That's where you need a heated garage, I'm happy to live in California where the temp was 70 today when I hear you guys talk about it being -30 or being snowed in.

i would have just done it myself...$60 bucks ....F-that

yea but i don't have the benefit of a garage or a nice clean plowed parking lot. sooo, i was in the shop i said, might aswell do it while im here.

don't gotta worry bout it for 3 months now. so no biggie.

EDIT

this is my second time taking it to get an oil change, every other time i've done it myself. ive owned this car for over 3 years.

a little off topic but have you ever dynoed your car...?

p5's mp3',msp's and 2.0 proteges are the same motor bro

I don't know if that's completely true. I read somewhere that the MSP's are slightly different but the other 2.0's are the same. (scratch) I recall someone gauging interest in something for their motor and they were doing an MSP conversion from an LX I believe.

correct me if I'm wrong but the LX is a different engine... I believe the ES has the same engine (minus the turbo obviously) as the MSP.

as far as i know the blocks and all that are the same thing, they are all fsde 2.0 motors

if some do all do, I just haven't researched into which trims got what motor. I know the ES got the FSDE.. It would make sense to me that the 4 lug cars all got the 1.6l... but I don't wanna shoot my mouth off.

Noticed today while checking my oil that I'll need to go purchase a new dipstick today.... stupid brittle plastic! It's cracking near thebase of the handle!

es=2.0 lx=1.6
Only pre-2002. IIRC, after 2002 all Proteges (even the DX and LX) have the 2.0L FSDE, which are all the same block, internals, etc. It's 2001 and previous years that start to get confusing with the 1.6L and 1.8L (FPDE).

PM about the HIDs when you get a moment. I have a place I get them from cheap
Also, forgot to mention. Finally replaced the blown headlight bulb from about 2 weeks ago. I kind of had to though. I went to leave my bro's last night and BOTH of my headlights were out. What sucked was I was 30 miles from my house past sundown. I was like "s***!" So my wife and I took his car to the hockey game and I dropped her off at her car and spent the night at his house.

So two new Sylvania H4's into the front. Nothing special. Just a replacement until I find myself some decent priced HIDs!

180... i completed the relocation setup today, need to adjust my idle now.. and i also changed back to the stock hood for now.. car makes a wicked whistle noise that is much different than the previous whistle.. and the BOV is so much louder.. haha.. just some slight tweeking and i think she will be good!!
