What have you done to your MSP today?

Bought a used '07 PT Cruiser for the wife / so I can roll the P5 / so I can wrench on my MSP ... to install the built block, 626 intake mani, Insane built SpeedCircuit head, GTX gears, M*M Mani, Potato, GHL TB and Microtech(and a dozen other goodies).

You have parts siting around? I'd love to take a look at your stash of parts, it sounds like a good one. I have a build coming soon too.

I've been collecting parts for two years lol - I'm determined to do the build all at once.

Definitely a good idea. Hunker down for one weekend with the parts, another weekend with the electronics. I did the same thing when I was throwing the turbo kit together on my Mitsu Lancer. The install job went much more smoothly that way.

I'm trying to figure out which gauge solution to get for my car, and I'm pretty much sold on the Zeitronix ZR-2 since it will match up nicely with my Zeitronix ZT-2 WBO2. That way I can have one gauge for boost, A/F, and eventually EGT.

Took the insurance off the MSP because I know I would be tempted to drive it in the winter if I didn't. Thing is I still drove it anyway lol. So today I took off all the charge piping, gave the MAF sensor to a friend and made him promise not to give it back til spring lol. Took off the exhaust and the valve cover and send the cover away for powder coat. That should stop me from driving! I can't wait to start working on it. Winter is prime tuning time!

Holy cow...talk about removing temptation. :p

I just couldn't even stop myself! It's so bad, but its gonna feel so good to get back in it after driving a 99 auto cavalier for 3 months :P

So you have no insurance on it now?I would atleast do some kind of storage insurance. It would be cheap. Maybe $15ish a month. Its worth it. I dont sell insurance but there was a thread on a local forum Im on recently about this. House fires and things like that happen and somethimes s*** isnt covered.

well my definition of insurance off is having just fire and theft on it. Works out to $60 a year so why the hell not eh? Keeps it safe for the winter.

oh believe me its been a week and I'm hating life, but I've gone through winter beater syndrom before. Basically for the first month you hate life, then second month you realize how funny it is to drive a stupid car and not care about it at all. Then by month 3 you're actually happy you are free to work on your car because you're not daily driving it. then month 4 it's back out, faster and better than before and feels a millions times better after the beater. Fall in love all over again!

Well it has been some time since i posted in this thread but i am glad to announce that she is almost ready to roll, today i went to see her at NE Autotek, the only shop i will ever take my car to, they took it apart with care and grace and will do the same when putting it back together, she's in good hands, i ordered SU driver side and rear MM and Cometic Engine gasket kit, should have that on friday, next week i'll be dropping big bucks on my built motor from Wicked, when it arrives the car should be up and running within a week, if everything goes smoothly i should have her back as a christmas present, i cannot wait for this, i'm so exited!!!!
