What have you done to your MSP today?

got t bolt clamps. held everything together for about...30 mins. then the hotpipe came BACK off... so i went and had another section welded onto it... hopefully this fixes the issue.

If it keeps poping take a bastard file and put little groves around the pipe where the coupler sits and it gives it something to bite...

I have had to do this on more marine applications than cars but the same principle.(2thumbs)

or find the DIY on beading your piping and do the job correctly.

Under certian applications no matter how perfect you make the pipes fit they can still blow. I was actually taught that by a cummins rep. I am not saying it is always the best option but it has yet to fail on me when all else has.

if theres a proper bead on them, theres no excuse for blowing couplers on 6psi... a cummins rep is talking about diesel boost levels, which could be 4x what we run, or more.

Yes I know that....That is what i do for a living. But lets just say it works at that level so it is 4x better than needed here. LOL. Seriously tho i was trying to give an idea outside the box that i know works and is a very easy fix.

IMO, speaking in general here, easy fixes are worth what you pay for em... do it right, or don't bother, unless you enjoy asking for trouble.. and from time to time, don't we all!? lol

There is NO WAY to pop a coupler at stock boost if you have properly tightened t-bolt clamps.

No lip on alum. piping it can at 6 psi. The only time I had to use it on a car was a 96 ish civic. He was pushing 6-8 psi and he came in for was this. What the dumb ass did was build one out of generic piping and used cheap connectors and he had this problem. We told him his issues and he wanted it fixed with that cheap s***. So we made the pipes the right size and scored up the pipe atthe conectors and it worked. (we used 80 grit then i found out this trick) The easy way to make money.

Agreed. There is some things i would not do, this i would be shy away from if i had not seen it done and work. But some times you do have to ask for it. LOL.

someone told me to spray hairspray into the coupler, it will act like an adhesive. try it

meet up with me friend and get the carbon fiber devisional pannel, after I wash/waxed my car today for a car show this weekend.

Pics to come :) And hopefully alot of people buy them. :) Hes applying for AMM.
