Anybody know a good place to buy Rota's besides wheeldude?
I don't feel comfortable buying Rotas off of ebay. Do you think its safe?

Oh I'm not mad by any stretch. I've made it clear I don't want Rota's. I'd prefer the real deals.
However, I noticed that Rotas match the theme of your car. That theme being "Nothing is the real deal." Fake MSP with knockoff rims.
Sorry Dub... not trying to pick on you it's just this seemed like a no-brainer. Good thing too cause there isn't much up there to begin with.
Less than 1k wheels > 2k or 3k wheels.
I drive a protege for god sakes, a little 200whp is gonna do nothing to rotas, it have to have at least a T3/T4 for it to deserve WORK or VOLK wheels and even then, I'm not sure if you'd really need them.
If I was pushing something that was actually kind of fast, ms3, ms6, wrx, evo, I'd get the real deal. Even if I was boosted, my protege don't deserve those lightweight forged wheels, it would be a waste of money.

No way, if you really like your car you can put 3k wheels in a 2k miata and make it a real clean ride.

I say just get whatever floats your boat... hell I'm for the Rotas and their is nothing knock off on my car. I don't autox or drive on harsh roads.

I was offered a free megan exhaust for my car but I really wanted the HKS. I have a cheap garret style turbo but I love my big shinny turbonetics. I have a spearco intercooler over a $100 ebay intercooler that I used to sell. If you really like your car and are willing to spend the money do it once with good quality parts and you will never regret it.

I didn't mean the protege doesn't deserve the wheels because of the price, anyone whose followed my car for a long time would know I have no problem dumping a lot of money into this car, I mean't the protege cannot posses enough power under the hood to make forged wheels necessary.
Lightweight is good for anything but forged wheels is a bit much for a FS-DE.
I spent less than a grand on my wheels and they look just like TE-37s minus the center cap so you're telling me if I would of got the real deal and spent 2k more, my ride would look more clean even though no body would even know the difference?
Yeah, that don't make sense, I'll take my Rotas. For the price of VOLKS, I could get nice looking rotas and buy a sick turbo kit with engine management and everything. If I go VOLKS, all I get is some expensive ass wheels that are light.

greg.. FWIW- forged wheels are good on ANY car.. they are lighter...hence less rotational mass... ALWAYS GOOD!

if your worried about saving weight over some rims just pick up some good ole FD wheels 16x8 and around 13 pounds and at the most you will spend 500.
To me i just dont see the point in spending the money on volks. They say volk on them its not like they have a design that no one can copy, and like dub is saying you can buy some rotas and have a turbo kit for his car for the pirce of volks.
