What have you done to your MSP today?

Dale if you're interested in seats cheap, I can get you these TenzoRs. The brackets were the bad apple and the driver's seat leans too far back but I told you I was going to make it fixed back anyways so that wouldn't be a problem after that. You'd be on your own for brackets though. And I assume you know plenty of car people that could help you get those for you.

Haven't these seats been whored out by now? LoL

It's cool. If they are around than I might have some interest. If they need to be sold for $$$ no worries broseph. Having the driver seat be fixed back would be fine too.

tell me about it. i went to work for only 5 hours today, came home and had to read 4 pages of new posts in this thread alone LOL. well i don't HAVE to, but it's like a religion to me now.

anyway...didn't do anything to my msp today except drive it and the CEL went away! the body shop manager had a feeling it would because he said if you disconnect the battery and some other s*** that it can happen sometimes. if that's not the reason, then it must be my 02 sensor. either way it's a simple fix, so i'm happy

all they need is to paint the fender, bumper, lip, sideskirt, mount everything, align the car and its ready! i hope

Correct me if I'm wrong but you can still technically drive with a blown turbo right? Or am I mistaken?

if its spewing oil all over the charge pipes... probably not a great plan... and if you keep driving on a blown turbo, you'll get it to the point where its not worth rebuilding... so, for that reason not a good plan as well....

bout as good of an idea as driving with a spun rod bearing... yes, its physically possible... just causes more damage, and very much not recommended.

im thinking of going bigger but i haz stock internals (no)

was it a stock turbo? if so how many miles?

stock gt25 and to my knowledge it is the original turbo (meaning the previous owner of the car didnt blow one and replaced) sooooo turbo lasted a good 133k which is an awsome run!

im sure you can if the turbo breaks in the form of alot of shaft play but when the seals break it will leak oil everywhere. which mine did.

wow yeah it is a good run... Mine blew 2 weeks ago today with only 88K on the turbo... I babied it but the previous owner didnt...


and yes you can drive on a blown turbo, that is if ur not spewing oil into the intake like mine is... altho I dont recomend it, it is possible, it's just not worth damageing the turbo or the motor more than it already is...

So how did you determine the turbo was blown? Funny noises or oil everywhere? Or both?!

did it go out on the intake side? lol thats where mine went... its BAD you could see oil bubbleing out of the housing... I burnt all the oil in 1 mile getting it to the house...
