What have you done to your MSP today?

Got that bad boy runing after lilke 3 months of down time sitting on 4 jackstands.....new lightend flyweel, exidy.welded diff, shifter bushings,r swaybar bushings, axle bearings .....that mother f....flywheel made a big difference in throttle responce....I love my MSP..@10psi.

Took off my grill but not sure if I want it off for good or not. what do you guys think grill or no grill? I don't want to cut out the tabs until I know for sure which way I want to go.

Leave the grill in, everybody and their mom is showing off their FMIC, be surprising, a little sleeperish. I want a black FMIC anyways, my opinion.

Yeppers. I think I'm one of the few that've left the grill in, too. I like how the FMIC will catch the sun just enough to glint sometimes, and make people do a double-take. Bwahaha!

do any vendors still have brand new GReddy type S bov's ? Or is anyone selling the RS or any greddy below $180.00 ?

Its doubtful anyone has a new Type-S. Even if you found it I would imagine it would be kind of pricey. I take it youve tried protege garage and the site which shall go unnamed.

apparently yhe tool I use and the tool my friend used when he borrowed my valve strips the inside of where the adjustment screw sits. So I'm not using this tool anymore lol.

Just went through a brand new RS pretty quick and it's not cool and a type S before it but the type S was old as s***. I've got tape over the newly acquired hole and it runs better with the TAPE than with the screw. But tries to stall or does stall when you let off the throttle or take it out of gear.

Either way I need a new valve. I know someone who can make a new screw and bore it out so a new piece sits in there for the screw to go into. But I 've already done this to another previous BOV, and it ended up breaking after a while. Worked for a lil bit though but I want a new valve, not something that may work for a little while. So vendors, if you can let a valve go for under $180.00 it would be of great help.

I heard a while back that some still had a few maybe not anymore , but any greddy will do cuz thats the flange I got. I'd pay the 180- 200 for a new type S based on the sound it makes alone, but not for an RS. The RS doesnt even really blow-off and I can get it for $180, but thats going rate I believe.

open question. Does anyone know if apexr1 already has a cat that I could bolt up to the catless downpipe they make, the 3in. one.? I just wanted to know without calling them and lookn for their number.

Cause I want to put on the 3in again but it needs a cat, high-flow or not it needs a cat for some backpressure.

Damn that sucks. I remember somebody had them for a while but I think they sold out. Im glad I have mine :). I think your best bet is going to be just watching the FS section and hoping one pops up sometime.

You'll have a little more power without a cat. The turbo is producing it's own backpressure, you just need to get the exhaust out as fast as it can get out. exhaust backpressure is benificial in NA applications more so than FI

I was told this before. Tried it, not the case. My exhaust stops at the front doors. Literally, no more exhaust system after my cat. so I have a hiboost DP and a cat then nothing. With the apex, the length of the whole DP is as long as the HiBoost and cat, then theres nothing after that.

So, the 3in makes my car a HELL of alot louder and backfires constantly it is slower. It takes off harder but after you punch it, nothing. As soon as I put my DP set-up with the cat back on and it's 2.5in. not that it matters, but my car runs good and better again because of the cat. W/o the cat my car is indeed slower. If I had a muffler to give me some backpressure and more piping maybe I could run no cats but as it is now, I need a cat to run this 3in DP.

that's odd. I have a electronic controlled dump pipe and I def pull harder with it open than closed, and all of the exhaust is 3" with no cat., even with the dumped closed I could really feel the difference after I took off the high flow cat vibrant provides.

Your turbo creates enough back pressure. You should feel more gains with less restriction.

I don't know why this isn't relative for you lolz
