What have you done to your MSP today?

lol the strut bar is barely touching the hood i laid a piece of tape across the strut bar and closed the hood to see where i would have to notch it. The previous owner ran a gtspec strut bar and i can see indentation is the bottom support bracing of the hood where it was hitting.

Zoomzoomboom may come from elsewhere... Try to be really nice to the tranny once the boost goes up... and from what I read of your posts probably wont be long :) It was hard holding back at first til I got the hang of tuning...

Going to teh Diznee I think.

In other news, just sent payment for those Wiseco pistons in the FS section. I am going to pick up the 55,000 mile engine tomorrow and ordering gskets and bearings tonight. All that's left to order are the rods and I'll probably do that tomorrow, too. No more Zoom-Zoom-BOOM! Hopefully.. Or at least less often. LOL

My goal is to give you a run for your money by the end of the season next year. Now that I have someone to push me to strive to get better.

I'll take that as a compliment :) Hopefully I'll have the other motor done by then and maybe the p.o.p.e. dp will show up by then. I'm getting a little frustrated waiting over 2 months for something I paid for. Also depends if I need to use the crank out of this motor and how bad the cylinder walls are and if they can be bored or not.

Was meant as a compliment.

I'm still sitting on my pope DP waiting for the 3" exhaust before I put it on. Waiting for wheels before I put my aac bbk on. Lots of waiting and being patient. Should be getting some good parts this winter. Just see these awesome GB's and have to jump in while these parts are available because, you get products like the pope DP and then he stops making them for personal reasons which is very understandable. You just don't know how long these products will be available.

yep thats the state of the protege community now a days. If you don't get in on the first gb theres a 75% chance there wont be another one.

So, I should have all the components for the forged build ordered by weeks end.

My gt spec bar has marks on it from the previous owner so I never noticed it hit the hood. interesting stuff

Send me a pm if you guys are going to be hanging around in Orlando, I've only stopped by Fattis shop once, I need to associate myself with some knowledgeable msp guys more often. Lol

ill send you a text tonight with a picture. I looks like it was barely rubbing.

it's no biggie, just never noticed. Does it hit on the underneath part of the fiberglass structure cause that's an easy fix or is it on the back of the cf layer?

So I changed my tranny oil and shifter bushing today. I toyed around with the tuning a bit then I got it dyno'd. The car gave me a stupid maf high imput and wouldnt go past 5500rpm so im not happy about that. That issue started happening after I put the 505 IM in and it only comes on at high rpm/above 15psi. I also have an oil leak and im pretty sure its coming from the awr oil pan. Theres also knocking noises when I turn my wheels at low speed or when stopped. I hate that stupid car ugh.

He must be using a standalone if he's pushing 15psi with a MAF according to other users here. Because I was "over loading" the MAF on 12psi in the Winter...

If your tune has you in the 10's most likely thats why youre maxing out the maf. Whatever boost level... and the higher the boost goes the more touchy the stock ecu is. Atleast get to low 11afrs... should stop giving you problems.

Actually I was too lean on the dyno and I changed the map trying to get it richer but it didnt fix it. Im not using a standalone but im really thinking about it now.. I have a ssafc with a joep fcd and im usually good at 17-18psi, higher than that I hit fuel cut.

Now that I got a good graph im gonna tweak the map more, im aiming for 11.8.

I never had that issue with the 626 manifold though.
