What have you done to your MSP today?

I removed one coil on each spring in the rear, and it didnt sacrifice comfort. Feels the same, and lowered it another 1/2" or so.

i installed my hybrid suspension, haha its nothin really. i just couldnt stand the rake of the tein s-techs so i finally installed falken factory springs on the rear. so im running s-techs up front and falken in the rear. i had to adjust my headlights sooo much bc it brought the rear down to where its supposed to be.
so you like the teins in the front, since I have that set sitign here i might give that set-up a try? How is the rate on teh s-teches up front compared to the Falkens any idea, I wouldnt mind going stiffer than the falkens on there now.

Exactly the same thing I did. Could almost use another 1/4 coil out cuz of a slight rake, but its not bad at all. I do tend to push through the corners tiny bit more than the racing beats, but that may have some to do with the driver. The ride seems identical to the stockers, IMO.

Cool man, do you have any side profile pics. I'm thinking of doing this because I have tein s-tech's as well.

i was gonna snap some today but my favorite parking garage was packed due to an event at the arena.

yea the tein's dropped the front nicely, but did nothing for the rear. i couldnt stand the amount of rake so i happened to find the falkens f/s in state and picked them up. im not sure about how stiff they are tho, the falkens are unlisted in the spring buyers guide. i cant really tell any difference tho.

keep in mind i have s-techs up front, and falkens in the rear. pushed it on some back roads today tho and it seemed to handle better now that the rear isnt sticking up so much. it always felt like it would oversteer before, i definitely had oversteer problems at autox before. seemed like i was flinging the rear around on every tight turn. might have a tad bit less traction due to the weight shift but i didnt really notice much difference, i think equaling out the stance definitely made it handle much better tho.

ohyea, as for today i washed my speed for the first time in about 2 months, doh.

Purchased tires, and Volk Lugs for the new Advans that are currently collecting dust here next to me. Along with some Rotora's all around :D Ill have install pics and a photoshoot coming next week......

must be so embarassing to drive like that. When the body shop wanted a piece of my car (gas lid or spoiler they suggested) to do a paint match with my hood, I pondered it for a moment and just told them to keep the whole car :P I wasn't about to drive around with missing parts

i just got my unichip installed/tuned by JDMSam. 4mpg city / 7mpg highway increase @ 10psi. Sam FTW

Yeah I've heard of people on the unichip getting some damn good gas mileage. I'm still considering getting it (have the MSP ECU) but for the price I paid for the MSP ECU plus the unichip it would be as expensive as a Microtech standalone.

new wheels

I got new wheels awhile ago. Also put on Brembo cross drilled and sloted rotors. Strobes in headlights and taillights, under car lighting too.

Replaced my BPV last night (swapped for an un-broken stock piece).

HUGE difference... boost is progressive and linear, not jumpy like before. It also has a tighter, quicker, release. It also hold idle a lot better now.

Original BPV the nipple was broken off, and someone shoved a second nipple (unknown brand/type) and sealed it with some type of liquid cement/glue. With the way he fixed it, it lasted about a week Id say and started to leak.

Also tighted some bolts in the wheel well to prevent a rattle.

I went through all the piping to the MAF yesterday, trying to get rid of the dang P10171 Bank 1 lean code, seems to have gone off for now.

I started installing my boost gauge yesterday too, ran the vacuum lines, just gotta run the light wiring today, but its works, sweet!

yah, i only drove it for 1 day to work and back ;) - its back in the shop now, driving my wifes car ('01 ES) - @ least i can stay in a mazda haha.

today i determined my wastegate is toast and my brother fab'd a sweet bracket that now allows me to hold my optima red top down tight. i hooked up the vacuum tester and could barely get my wastegate to hold anything. i had to pump it up really really fast and it would make it to 20 then drop like a rock back to 0. cant wait till that atp wastegate comes in now...

Put a lug nut on the passenger front tire...it mysteriously disappeared even though they were all torqued/tightened to spec...weird.

Installed a Megan Racing Catback yesterday. This part is for a P5, but I had a friend TIG weld in the extension needed to fit the MSP. Tone is nice with this exhaust, very tight, not buzzy or noisy.
