What have you done to your MSP today?

lol yeah I thought I had the decimal place wrong....I doubt over a quarter inch gap would work very well lol

thanks for the comments guys! so having a 6 puck clutch and a good preasure plate whats the next breaking point in the transmission and what will it handle (hp) until it goes :P getting the shopping cart together for the forged internals now gotta wait till next pay check to click order though :( .... saying i want to run 20psi... ill put that at my goal is the trans ok at that? how about axels and crank? and what turbo to hold a constant 20psi? ... o yeah fuel to..

A built trans can handle upwards of 300whp. The MSP axles are 2mm larger and plenty of people have put well over 300whp through regular pro axles without issue so you should be good there. The stock crank is forged already. For fuel i would suggest a walbro pump and at least 600cc injectors, maybe larger. And a perrin fuel rail if you really want one.

If your going big, might as well go as big as possible. Go with the aeromotive pump, perrin rail, X-overs fuel line kit, and 600+CC injectors.
As for the clutch, I wouldnt go with a pucked clutch. Those are terrible for DD. Im going with the Findanza flywheel/ACT Extreme Duty Clutch for my car.
Im shooting for 300whp as soon as I tune it and swap the MSP trans in.

I will second the pucked clutch comment. I have a 6 puck, unsprung clutch in my MSM. Unless you want to dump the clutch around 2k every time you start out, I'd avoid it. The harsh engagement has actually caused my 5 speed to start making lots of un-nerving noises lately on engagement.

Folks please check this out. Estimated repairs $500 parts n labor. bulls***.

hood - $92.50 certifit
drivers side fender - $33.75 certifit
front bumber cover - $40.75 certifit
core support - $245.00 ebay
from my experience you can usally beat that core support straight since theres minor damage to it... if not that going to be the killer 10mm socket prob. and can change all the metal and cover in a hour...

so 412.00 if you changed core support...
167.00 without

wow, glad i never have bought a car from you.

kind of a dirt-ball move "fixing" a pretty much totaled car and leading somebody to believe it will last them and be functional for a longer period of time than a few months. there's one of these scumbag 'dealerships' in my town... but after word spread that this is what the guy does (fixes trashed cars and flips them), i don't think he's been getting much business - as he's still got the same cars for sale that have been there for well over a year now. guess you can get away with it easier doing it privately... but regardless kinda bad.

Yeah so I'm pretty sure its the coils/plugs. Didnt have time to fix it this weekend. Went to start it up this morning and it idled fine but as soon as I gave it any throttle it started to misfire. Still no CEL tho.

I used to have a coworker (from Bosnia) and he had a 2006 G35. I always thought it was pretty cool. Then he tells me "Yeah, it was a salvage title but I fixed it up and now it runs like a champ. Best part is, I can sell it to someone and they won't even know." I was like "Ummm that seems pretty stupid to me and I somehow doubt someone would buy it." His response "It's you silly Americans that believe once a cars totaled, it's not worth repairing. They do it all the time everywhere else."

He wound up having to trade it in and get a Mazda3 wagon because no one was biting. lol

Well i decided today is the day as soon as i get home tonight I'm taking pictures and making a part out thread. Should have some pretty sweet parts up for sale tonight for you guys so stay tuned to the for sale section.

Ill see you about some parts.....Saturday...lol

Alright peeps. This weekend I had my 3 inch flange welded by a friend. And we were talking. He said if I buy all the parts, he would weld me up a custom 3 inch ss exhaust(which will be way cheaper than a cs 80mm) he said hehe would do all the labor on the frizzle. But my only thing now is I need to find a muffler I like but have no idea where to start. So my question is: any recommendations for a good sounding muffler? Will be a 3 inch exhaust.
