What have you done to your MSP today?

update: drivers side window was busted, only the head unit and radar detector was taken. I'm surprised the amp and subs were not taken

same s*** happened to me only they peeled out my driverside window.. took my faceplate for stereo unit and took my 15"sub.. sorry it happened to you man s*** sux

hey guys, do you have any idea why my brother's msp A/C wouldn't be working, the inside fan goes on, bu the A/C fan does not go on, on mine both fans turn on on the radiator when the A/C button is on, but neither of his do when the A/C is on..

and also when the heat rad. fan goes on, when it gets hot enough, it is on the side of the A/C fan should be on (the pass. side), so basically it's backwards but the other fan does not turn on, soo.... the A/C fan does not turn on no matter what, (which I have just ordered a new slim fan for it) but the heat fan does come on, but after a long time, and the wires that originally connect to the stock fans that are now wired into the slim fans are on the correct side, so really it should be going on when the A/C button is pushed and when the rad. gets hot enough, the driver side fan should be coming on, not the pass side fan..

so does anyone have any ideas.. I looked at all the connections, they seem fine.. I looked at the fuses, they are fine, and I replaced some of them with ones from my old msp just to make sure.. not really sure what is going on.. is there something else I am missing that I haven't looked for, I could I guess check the A/C condenser, and is there a way to see if the A/C lines need to be recharged for free, like will autozone check that ?

I would really really like to get this crap figured out finally and soon, so if you guys could help me out that would be great..

it's not the fuses, and how could I check the a/c control panel and the high pressure switch? haven't heard of those before, I have a spare a/c condenser from my old msp if I need to switch that out, but the fact that the fans are the opposite than what they should be is really weird, and that both fans are not going on when the a/c is turned on.. and I checked most of the wiring and it should be all set, but the previous owner could have really screwed things up somehow, but not sure.. I thought the fan was as least working before the water pump belt went..

could you explain the high pressure switch and control panel parts more? so I know what I am looking for

the control panel could be defective but not likely. The high and low presure switches are designed to keep the AC system within a certain range. If its to low (no freeon) it wont engage and its is to high it wont engage. However Im not to sure where they are at on the MSP right off hand.

Edit: Im talking about the compressor and has nothing to do with the fans

the AC fan won't kick on if you have no freon. I can attest to that much.

If you have low freeon or high head pressure the fan clutch will cycle on and off.

Didn't know that about the fan and if you have low freeon the low presure sensor wont allow it to engage the clutch on the compressor... well it really depends on how low it is to be honest.

I'm not sure if the MSP has this but I know my truck does. If the high presure switch is shot it might allow the AC to still work but the presure release valve will vent out some freenon to try and keep the presure down.

Also another thing to look for is make sure that one little wire it attached to the compressor on that pin on it. If thats not on it your AC wont blow cold air either. I think its some sort of ground but not sure.
