What have you done to your MSP today?

Over the weekend I added two MTX Thunder 5000 10" subs into the car that I brought from Indiana to California (where I live now) in my suitcase. These subs used to be in my 1996 Ford Probe GT. The TSA wanted to keep them because they were potential bludgeoning devices. UGH. I had to buy a new amp, so I got a Hifonics 1000d mono amp... which is actually a really nice amp. It's hard to believe all this bass is coming from 2 10" subs. The original sub is still in there, but not hooked up, and the original amp... well I think it died or something. It wasn't working, and replacing it seems to have fixed the problem. I took it apart but couldn't find any problems.

Finally found the reason for my hesitation issues, should be fixed by Saturday; after checking for vac leaks, exhaust leaks, blown headgasket, screwed turbo, blown wastegate, cracks in my plastic coldpippe, and bad welds on my intake tube and hotpipe I found out that when i changed my sparkplugs 1 1/2 years ago i had them gapped for a N/A protege and not the msp. The simplest solution. I also found out I have a broken endlink.

Well that's interesting. What did you have them gapped at? MSP is supposed to be between .028" and .032" if I'm not mistaken.

Had the same thing happen to me when I first got my car back in July. It had Bosch plugs and I threw in NGKs without gapping them.

Had a little time to tighten the PS belt hoping to cure my terrible belt squeal. Didn't. Must be alt belt, but it only squeals when car is cold and outside temps are below 40 or so.

Really need to change suspension bushings, front and rear. Like the rest of you, she's being quite noisy lately.

Finally got a chance to put in the SS-AFC in the car. I will probably load up the winter FMIC map soon but from the start, there is little hesitation past 4K up to 6K. Feels nice ^^. Radiator seems to be on its way out so that the next part to get replaced.

i need to try the winter fmic map...my car runs like crap on the supermap.

should have called me bro. that's a huge issue with a lot of people, pretty common though.. you easily blow the spark out w/ boost. that happened with me when i got zachs car running again. haha.

between those is correct!

Put on my winter wheels and eliminated wheelgap as a result:

Well, after a long while... my MSP fired up! I spun a rod bearing earlier this year and it has been under the knife.

Went with Wiseco/k1 combo, acl bearings, all arp hardware, doc b oil pump with external valve, and all the small odds and ends.... here a few pics!

very nice. Overbore any? did you go with the stock crank or the long rods and stroker crank?

Got the reflash done yesterday... took 2.5 hours because the tech got 3/4 of the way through and the computer they use to flash rebooted itself. So he had to clear out my PCM and start from scratch. Nice difference though. My car would fall on its face between 3,500 and 4,000RPMS and then take off again above 5,000RPMS.

nice! any pics of the routing of the oil lines?

When i get the car back home i'll take pics of the whole system, you can see the red External PRV in the 2nd pic attached under the strut bar in the top left.

So before I left work I loaded up the FMIC winter map. Gotta say after about 70 miles I threw the supermap back on. Worse gas effeciency and I was not building boost past 6psi. Once the supermap was back, I was back up to 8psi and I could feel the car stop falling on its face. Guess for now until I can afford a A/F guage I will leave that map on.
