What have you done to your MSP today?

half shaft is the OTHER part (the one with the CV joints). they're called half shafts because they're half of a normal solid axel... as independant suspension has become more common, calling them driveshafts has become common.

Think I need to check my EGR valve cause sometimes my idle acts really weird when I start up the car. Started happening when I switched maps on the AFC last time but the idle in the map is untouched so I'm confused.

edit: by weird I mean dipping low to the point of almost stalling and then when I give the throttle a blip or 2 it evens out.

my car idles like crap from about 10 seconds after startup, until about 30 seconds after... I just deal with it.. whatever. LOL

mine too..is it the AFC thats doing it?

ok to all of those questions, I use to have that problem too, and fixed it I believe, at least for me... I had my map, and I noticed that every time I reload the map after tuning it, the idle ran more like crap.. so I did what I remember reading in the ssafc instructions or somewhere I forget, but anyways they tell you that once you have your map that you want all tuned, or whatever map your going to use, go under the File tab and compact customer I think it is called, it is whatever the option is that sounds like that, but it erasing all of the extra crap and all the stuff that gets left over when you write over the maps and tunes ( I made a copy first before I did this just encase, it also erases your notes and comments and stuff) but anyways after I did that the idle ran perfectly, before it was running around 15.5-.7 or so, after that it ran right at 14.7-.8, i was really surprised, also the car ran a little better I think.

so i'm thinking about picking up a 626 mani for my msp. yay or nay?
big yay... it's a very very good investment, I love mine, I can't think of any downside to mine.

also today, as well as the other days I have started to notice my left break squeaking I think it is, my right squeaks but that is just because I need to lube it up after replacing the caliper, I just forgot to do that, but now I hear the squeaking from the left, but I am just wondering that when I look at the break pad, how can I tell if it is worn, non of my other breaks are warn at all, and I had my front right out a few weeks ago and it looks pretty thick still... any ideas? and also if I have to replace the break pads, can I just do the left one or do I want to do the left and right, and I don't plan on replacing my rotors just because they are drilled and slotted ones and they have in great shape still, and you can't turn those right?

and also yesterday I just gave my car a little quick spray wax to clean it up, and a vac. and armoral spray down inside, I like to keep my car very clean, now I just can't wait for my FMIC core and piping kit and all that other stuff to come in so I can finally switch to one
