What have you done to your MSP today?

made a custom boost gauge and boost switches plate set up in the upper din. looks real good. now that my friend owns it i still get to do stuff to it, hahaha.

^^^ Yea, that knob is pretty damn close. Someone PM"d me saying that they would be willing to PM me their 03 Sparco knob ((cool)) so I may do that. He/she said the leather was worn out, I'm sure having a replacement made wouldn't be so hard.

In other news, I should be getting my car back tomorrow afternoon. I'll post before/ after pics once I get it back. They are going to replace the knob with the 03.5 knob for now. Blah, which reminds me... $500 deductible FTL.

Also....since my car has been in the shop, I've order a good number of parts to install for when it comes home to me :)

TurboHoses V2 SMIC
TurboHoses V2 Hardpipes
AFC V2
Corksport J-Pipe
Injen Intake
Cometic Headgasket
ARP Head Studs
Brach lightweight WP & ALT
RR Lightweight Crank Pulley

Then its back to the dyno again to hopefully break my original projected numbers (180/180)

I fixed my brake leak. Dumba$$e$ at the collision shop didn't even put in a crush washer when they put in my new brake lines. Talk about a reason for a liability suit. I only hope the brake fluid that leaked isn't going to strip the paint of my rims and eat through my CV boot.

got some parts from a buddy for free and plan on throwing them on tomorrow.
(eekdance) got a mbc, boost guage and greddy bov and trying to get him to give me his e-manage.

Installed a Unichip last night. Went out for a drive, it was only a little bit smoother then before?

prolly, same results here. in unichips defense, its just a base tune every car is different so you have to tune it. well not you, cause they make u go to a certified tuner and pay to make it run right. hence why i sold mine.

Recieved my hood latches/pins for the pretty lady ;)

those look real nice /\

so i just got back from the dealership and they said my warrenty ran out in july (thanks for letting me know btw..wtf)

The car was there because my entire passenger side of the carpet is completely soaked. The ecu cover is partially rusted out and all the padding stuff is ruined. The mechanic said he tested the evaporator to see if its clogged and its fine so then he tried doing a water test. Basically, he had another guy turn on a hose a pour water down the passenger side fender/windshield area and ta da water comes splashing into my car. They want to charge me 400 plus to fix it, so it will probably be over 500 bucks in the end.
I don't have the money and pretty much don't know what to do, so yea....any suggestion would be helpful if you guys have had the same problem. tq

oh yea, and both my front endlinks broke today ...lol
I hate this stupid car

If your sitting on the Ksports, then the stock endlinks prolly broke the day u installed them....Goodluck with the next set :)

Ahhh yes... i remember that day vividly. We dropped it down on the ground and heard two loud BANG's... The WTF look on my face was priceless... I thought we seriously screwed something up major on the car.

ahh memories....

Must be nice to notice the breakage on the way down ;).....

Mine was more of "what the hell is that noise?," while i was driving the day of the install. Pulled off and noticed the endlink tabs twisted around and rubbing on the inner lip of my wheel.....and the endlinks just laying off to the side(ughdance)

Yup, I've had the ksports for 7 days now and I love how the car handles more aggresively.
Looks like I need to invest in some awr endlinks, even though I was just saying how I don't want to spend another dime on the car at least for a week..lol oh well
Should I get the rear endlinks as well?

Surprisingly, my stock rear set is holding just fine. Im sure it would be best to go ahead and replace them though....I myself have a full set of AWR's in my parts pile, just in case.

Funny, that just happened to me! It dug so much into the inner rim, that it stopped me from moving. The endlink looks fine though, for some reason, the endlink tab just turned towards the rims. I haven't jacked it up yet to fix it, but what did you do to fix it?

nice...looks like i'll replace the front set for now until I can afford the rear set. Are they noisy?

ha you idiots! Why did you change your stock suspension? dont you know the mazdaspeed protege is the best handling FWD car ever according to SCC Magazine! it beats out laborghinis, and porsc.....

that does suck to her the ksports break the endlinks, are they in a different position or something?

I just tightened the tabs a bit more and added loctite to the screws. I check them all the time, cause they eventually loosen up. Ive tossed around the idea of just tack welding the endlink tabs in place.....but i dunno yet.

Nope, as long as everything is snug they should be noise-free.

i had the same ******* problem for over 6 months. i finally fixed it. mine leaked the same way yours does when you pour water down the windshield on the passenger side. the water is leaking from the channel were it drains underneath the car. the seam where the body frame is connected is cracked and leaking. if you look on the inside of your car in the front right corner and up as far as you can (you have to pull the carpeting and s*** up) you should see where it is dripping down. the sealant should be cracked. i went to autozone and bought some automotive goop* and caked it on there. it is still holding strong.

my ecu was rusted, the carpet was wet, and the deadening material was also soaked.

i was in the same boat as you, i just rolled over my warranty, luckily.
