What have you done to your MS3 today?

Are you sure you're not just laboring the power steering pump? It may make some weird noises, especially if your PS fluid is low.

recieved my, way too expensive overpriced FMIC with 2.5 piping Friday. and a long sleeved T shirt
The box was as big as a coffin.
Just got off the phone with Marshall at Cobb Tuning. Nice fellow, been answering my questions and is shipping me my very own Accessport tomorrow.
Any one need a CP-e standback with harness? cheap. with a nasty 21lb tune on it? lolz
ETS 3.5 TMIC
recently refreshed by ETS and about 300 miles one her.
ha.
It's getting fun again.
Ps anyone know who can setup suspension with corner weighting within 100 miles of Rochester new york.
some days are better than others. I am having one of the good ones

I will feel it later. Once she's perfectly balanced. Then i will have a reference point eh?
Then you can play with braking and sway bars, compression rates. Even tires.
Get a good baseline for the neutral chassis and then play around for fun.
Domino, you have stock front anti sway bar still bolted up ?
That rear end must be a bit looser than stock and a bit more frisky out of the turns i was wondering.
What weight springs are the rears ?

Yes, it's a fairly build suspension. I bought it with a Cobb rear sway bar, Koni's are set fairly stiff. I can't find any information on the spring rate, though. Fact, I've always thought they were a little soft for lowering springs. I don't really know how it'll throw off the balance once I go with a front sway bar. Not a small job, either. Never even thought to replace it.

Mostly happens at slow speeds either going forward or reversing and especially at inclines. I just parked and turned the wheels full lock on both sides and it made the noise. It really sounds metal-ish. It could be my tires but i just raised the car up another inch....oh well, after my JBR goodies come in I may take apart the front suspension to look around. I also saw my bump stops and they basically disintegrated....pieces of yellow rubber/foamy material fell from the tops of coils.

Could be the coilovers settling. Mine made all kinds of noises when I first installed them, but they're quiet now. If you ever get to the NW side, let me know, I'll take a look.

Try checking the power steering rack and make sure it's tight to the sub frame. 3 bolts I believe, had a similar issue and mine were loose.

Huh, should be plenty broken in. I don't recall, are the BC units pillow ball uppers? I know that's what makes the Yellow Speed ones so noisy in the beginning. It was a plunking metallic sound.

getting tired of looking at my spring install stuff sitting in my living room.......

got 300 miles out of a tank of gas today. first time in 50k that has ever happened

2nd k04 started smoking today. It was a temporary fix since it had 85k on it when I put it on. Have a k04 with 15k miles ready to be put in on Saturday. Also have to attack the fuel injector seals. I have the SURE HALOS and I'm not looking forward to seeing what everything looks like after that many miles....

Sorry, I should have clarified. I was one of the first few people to own the Halos. I've had them in for about 7k miles now. I know about the issues and that's why I'm afraid to see what everything looks like when I take them out. That is IF I can take them out. Should be interesting.

Won $100 in gift cards to SURE 2 days before they released their preorder. They were $99 bucks on preorder. Wanted peace of mind that I would never have to worry about my seals. Ended up causing more problems due to the design error. Oh well. Going with Toyo seals with proper torque settings.

My calculated mileage is still going down...im blaming cold weather. Since my route doesnt change I figure 2-3 mpg differene between summer and winter is reasonable

Quick question: p0401 is a constant code for me (egr fault related), but it still doesnt come on constant enough for me to really fix anything. Erase and go for me (scantool). My theory is if the egr is screwing upthat means im not getting as much exhaust back through the intake as normal, so shouldnt more fuel and air be going in due to computer compensation?

I only ask because ive never seen my averages so low, but im not ready to blame it on bad sensors or leaky injectors, etc. p0401 is the only code I get. It can come on two time in one day, or not for a month at a time.

Historically ive gotten 20-21 mpg in winter, now Im seeing more 19s, and its been very mild so far

Idk how many egr faults need to happen until it throws a code, and I dont know if my theory is even enough to change the mileage by that much

I'm no chemist, but i believe the lower fuel economy in the winter has to do with the 'winter blend' of gas, not necessarily the temperature.

Colder air is more dense, has more oxygen. That means in order for the AFRs to stay level you need more fuel as the incoming air gets colder. As a very general rule every 10 difference in air temp is about 1% difference in hp

The egr does little more than take up space in the combustion chamber with inert exhaust gases. So if the egr is failing and more fresh air goes in, im just wondering if its enough to make a significant drop in mileage
