What have you done to your MS3 today?

Purchased an LKQ 6 CD head unit today. My CD player crapped out. I used it only about 10 times max, since I bought the car. I guess it was, due to lack of use! lol

^^^^haha...makes me wonder if mine works at all. i have NEVER used my cd player. for the first 2 years i used my ipod through the jack and a homemade stand held through the cigarette lighter, and since then i've been using xm sat radio

debating on whether i should go to the track tomorrow and make a complete ass of myself

16.0 @ 110 anyone?

Naa, 15.2 @ 108.

Can't be any worse that when I had more mods and was just as slow as stock. I think my best was 14.2 @ 99. Real soft launch, though. I don't think I've discovered how well these things can launch until recently.

Haven't done anything other than driving it to work daily and collecting more rock chips. I love this car(drive)

I havent done anything other than drive it to work, I did find out however I have a test pipe laying around for me for Xmas, so that is at least one mod I have waiting.

I just ordered a Big Type R shift knob from TWM Performance.

wallyworld didn't have any PP so i went with mobile1 for the oil change today. also did induction seafoam and tire rotation

noticed that im also gonna need to top off the coolant at some point, or maybe just do a full flush of the system. and at some point i need to refresh the power steering

Wanted to buy a shotgun and shoot the **** out of all the birds that s*** all over the car three days in a row over the weekend. Other than that, I bought ten quarts of Castrol edge with titanium and two filters for the future oil changes. Without the mail in rebates, it was around 70 bucks. Great deal for good oil. Got a magnetic oil pan plug, new turn signal and fog bulbs to put in at the next oil change in a week or so.

^^^^i think every car should come with a magnetic drain plug....they are the bees tits
true that, more so on the tranny,

been one one everything i've owned from my DT125A onwards

stunned at how little this tranny collects

really starting to thing the hard shifts are cuz its made fro unusually runny gear lube

I've been wondering for some time now if anyone has tried running 30W or 40W ND oil in their trannies?
I used to own MG's and Volvo's that used a Laycock electric/planetary overdrive unit mounted to the rear of a normal 4-speed transmission. The short story is they used the same 4-speeds as cars that didn't have the OD option and when they didn't have the OD the recommended lube was std 90W. But when they did have the OD you were supposed to use 30W ND as they shared the lubricant w/the OD unit. I seem to remember early VW Rabbit/Sciroccos (w/o an OD unit) using 30W as well?
I wonder how well it would work in these trans?

RP makes a manual gear lube at that vicosity, some makers spec for it

anyone wanna try it and report back??

might be just the ticket up near, oh say, mebbe the syracuse area

I will for sure never again do one bottle of 145wt with 2 of 90

lol meical, how did that viscocktail work out for you?

I've tried both the redline and RP 75w. I think I like the redline better. RP is notchy when cold and I'm in TX where it's not that cold. I think there is an extensive discussion of this subject elsewhere though.

I still think the Motorcraft Fully Synthetic stuff is the bee's knees but other than that I've only tried Redline and it was in the Miata not the MS3.
