What have you done to your MS3 today?

yesssssssssssssssssss. Mine shipped today, I can't wait. I was riding home from work, and I was literally cussing my car because it was driving like s***.

IMO, for anything other than a dedicated track car, the CP-E 75 durometer mount is probably as stiff/harsh as I'd ever go.

I currently have a 60 duro, and it's more than adequate for my "Stage 1+" MS3 (Cobb intake, TIP, and AP)... (dunno)

Yeah. I can officially say that I am one happy dude because I dont have to deal with that freaking mount anymore. It transforms your car...1,000,000x better

I have the cp-e RMM 60 duro, also. The only vibes are when the A/C on and that is not much at all. My motor moving way too much, fore and aft. When the OEM RMM was out, I saw the rubber was torn and starting to pull out at the edge.

just got it on. Holy s***. SOOOOOOOOOOO much better, and its not even broken in yet. No vibes, except for when A/C is on, but that'll go away. Its like the stock mount, except it eliminates engine lash

Sweeeeet. Guess that'll be next on the list.

Had to replace my entire shift assembly today. So had a TWM Short Throw Shifter put on in it's place. Bushings included. The car was fun to drive before, now it's a blast. Can't wait to install my PG Turbo Inlet and Mazdaspeed CAI.

Ok thought of a few more questions! Is it much quieter inside the car now? I've had my TRZ since last January, so I can't even remember how the car was before. My exhaust sounds like it is sitting on my lap it's so loud, and the god blessed transmission noises will deafen you. Can you elaborate on the noise department? do you notice a difference it's made to how the car feels? I have bc coils and full turbo back, but I hear everything...road noise, bumps in road, transmission howling creaking popping squeaking moaning, all of the engine noises, interior vibrating, etc. It really almost makes me hate my car most days, and I hate that feeling cause I do enjoy the car.

I know exactly what you mean 100%. I cursed this car every time I drove it because it made it drive like s***. I almost sold the car at one piont because I was sick of dealing with all the s***. I can't give you a full writeup yet, because I have yet to drive it in the cold, but I am confident it will stay alright. The only time the TRZ is not a piece of s*** is when it's been baking in the sun all day, because that eases up the vibes. As for noise, like I said, everything is louder/worse when cold, and hopefully this will fix it. I notice a lot of noise when it's been sitting out all night. The transmission before whined like a b****. The car seemed like I added a layer of sound deadening and a resonator to the exhaust(with the new mount in) It is seriously like night and day. It felt odd at first, to be honest. I promise you will notice a HUGE difference. It is even softer on startups. But yeah, the exhaust is clearly subdued, as with every other noise. It made me realize how much a motor mount actaully affects trust me, you will be happy with your purchase. As for the A/C vibes, just think of it as the same as when your TRZ was idling with no A/C. The vibes quite literally go away as soon as you tap the gas, unlike the TRZ, which resonated everything through the interior.

Drive like s***? Are you guys ******* nuts? The TRZ transforms the car and makes shifts smoother, holds the engine tight in place, and makes the car ******* driveable! With the stock mount I miss shifted WOT 2-3 all the time and engine movement was horrible. There's even a scary youtube video showing the engine rocking back and forth at WOT. I could not drive this car the same without my TRZ. Shifts snick into place perfectly under harder acceleration and the car has a more grounded, planted feeling. This also comes with some vibes and a bit of noise... which are not that bad. Not at all a bad tradeoff for the performance the mount gives. Personally I don't mind any vibes at all and I love a loud car... I wish I had the cash to do a full mount set up... trans/rear/ETD/front.

No, I mean, seriously, the TRZ as an all around mount sucks. It should be considered a race mount. It's great for holding the motor, but it makes this car feel like s***. When you drive as much as I do, it's nice to have something comfortable. This is why the CP-e is awesome. It balances the engine holding capabilities with stock drivability. It's how the car should come from the factory. I hate the feeling that my car is about to fall apart. This is why I think the best cars come out of Europe; they seempessly blend performance and comfort.

No just young. No offense Tyler but some of us have been driving before you were born so over time we look for a happy balance between fun and livable. When you have a wife and kids and are not the kid things change.

yeah, plus, I'm your age Tyler, and even my friends/ girlfriend hated being in my car

I don't think the vibes in my TRZ are that bad... I hardly notice them unless I'm trying to accelerate from under ~1800 RPMs or so. In that case I'm lugging the engine and it's a nice reminder to down-shift.

Well you guys are deaf then. I need to take some of you for a drive in my car, and then I think you will see why I am tossing the summabitch. Like bigdaddy said, I have a fiance and I am getting married soon, we drive a lot and my commute to work is around 30 miles one way each day, and to have every ******* vibe, noise, movement, etc transfer through the mount inside the cabin, I seriously want to gouge my ears out with a spork. I hate hearing the whining from the tranny, the squeaks creaks and moans from the motor, the exhaust like I am running straight pipe inside the car, and every noise the shifter makes. I just HATE it.

I am gonna make love to the CP-E mount. And damn big daddy, I am sure glad that you have the same issue I've had. I nearly sold mine too. The exhaust was literally that much quieter?? Is there anything that you notice stay the same? Like is there an annoying noise that you're still hearing (I am not worried about vibes, so no need to mention that), or is everything diminshed that much? I did not think a mount would make THAT big of a difference. I can't wait to get mineeeeeeeeeee!

So I do still have this one squeaky noise everytime I hit the gas, but it's way less than it was with my TRZ. MM Boost, as for exhaust, I don't really know about how much quieter it will make yours. I am running the stock DP, so mine is most likely quieter than yours. The biggest difference I noticed was pulling into my garage yesterday. My driveway is basically a mountain, lol, so I have to constantly gas/clutch it to get up while avoid hitting the other car. I noticed it's much quoted, and you don't get that jolt when you give the gas a quick spike. It's nice because it feels taut. Not hard, just well built and solid. The best way to describe it is like driving my moms car. She has an 08 BMW 335i, and when I got in that car, it was amazing. It drives so well. It is taut, but comfortable. It has awesome control, but it's not an animal when your just cruising along. To be honest, even though I'm only 17, and have only driven two years, it is the best car I have ever driven. By far. That's how the mount feels. Taut and controlled, but its there only when you want, and it seems like a better designed mount than the Trz because it is able to hold down the engine while still sustaining driveability and comfort.

I just want you to change your wording to "The TRZ mount is too harsh for me." and not, "The TRZ mount all around sucks."

Because as an engine mount, it does it's job pretty damn well.

Yes, I will agree to that, it would be nice for a car that gets tracked regularly, but IMO, it's just too hard for street use.
