What have you done to your MS3 today?

Well it's been an eventful few days for the MS3...

- Went to the dealer for the 15,000 mile service. Somehow managed to park in the dealer's lot with 15,000 miles exactly on the odometer.

- A few days before going to the dealer, had my first experience with the dreaded turbo smoke that occurs after idling for 5-10 min. Of course the dealer wasn't able to recreate the problem.

- Got the TRZ poly dogbone mount in the mail today, will install tomorrow before my first autocross on Sat.

- Speaking of autocross, got some used BFG R-1's with ~75% of tread left mounted up on some cheap 8 x 18 wheels.

- To cap of the week, put some school pride on the rear windshield...

Cleaned the windshield today! Actually, I had the windshield replaced because it had a big crack right in front of me, looks like something hit it right on the edge. Anyway, the new windshield has a big ripple right in front of the driver so it's going back tomorrow for another one. I am going to try to insist on a Mazda one this time instead of the random aftermarket one.

Also, I goto my radar detector back from Escort after getting it upgraded to 9500iX specifications. Now if I could only see, I could drive a bit faster with less worry from the man.

Ill have some updated side shots to compare this weekend, im taking the front down a lil more now to get that slight rake back.

Thanks! It's anodized. I ordered just the shroud from ETS because I failed at painting the original plus it was cut too short by the previous owner.

for some reason I thought you had a Cosmic Blue Mica Speed3, Never thought of yours being red. Crazy, looks sweet! You need a christmas star there to complete the christmas tree package and some neons too ;)

talkin about x-mas.....lol. look at this photoshop a buddy did for me because i was gonna get my wheels powdercoated, so he did a few random colors for me.

Heh well CWP and Cosmic Blue would have been my first choices. I hated the red, but it's really grown on me. Now I think my red car is teh secks.

I really want to debadge it front and back and lower it on some coilovers. Maybe even delete the rear wiper.

Thanks for the compliments though. I love my lowly true red sport :)

I have stock suspension and was curious. Is this a coil over setting? I wondered how those worked and how you can adjust them? So basically you just screw them up or down as you please? Is this correct?

I know, I am in love with the sound. Was not expecting the increase in sound from the intake but damn it blew me away

finally got my CP-E motor mount installed! (cabpatch)

the ride is much better, noticeably on 1st gear. the shifts are indeed smoother and easier. now i know why everybody's recommending having this installed. i noticed some vibration on idle, however it is not disturbing or anything. this thing is on backorder like forever, but it IS worth the wait (2thumbs)

Got ANOTHER new windshied and it is a lot better. But, now they screwed up the wiper sensor so it has to go back again!

Not trying to be negative, but try this test: W/the AC on, sit at a stop light for the usual 3-4 minutes at idle. Don't kick up the R's, just let it idle. Then see how the vibe is.
I had the 70D AWR in my NA for nearly 2 yrs and I couldn't take it anymore. It kicked on start up, which didn't bother me too much, but sitting at a SL in the hot summer with the AC on full blast, the vibe in the steering wheel, dash and rest of the car drove me nuts!!

well before i even make that test, the CP-E mount (i believe) is the only mount out there to use rubber inserts, which means more elasticity and better stiffness compared to a same duro of polyurethane inserts. 60 duro CP-E vs 70 duro AWR on vibes is not even close. that's why i waited and did not look into any other mount.

'Sounds like you picked the right mount and did your homework.
I have no experience w/the CP-E and after the AWR didn't want to waste any more time and especially money experimenting w/my DD.
Perhaps I'll have a closer look @ the CP-E?
I know many others are using that particular mount, but lemme know how it works out for you after the break in period.
