You heard it.... Yesterday I finished up the install of my LED Undercarriage lighting... took me 6 1/2 hours total... (I tend to be a perfectionist and I didn't want anyone to be able to tell with a glance).
I bought a thin flex LED kit on ebay.. The kit is the same as this one, only oddly enough, mine was $50 cheaper. I'm also waiting on another 24" strip for inside the grill to light it up.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the kit. First glance, I had my doubts, but after the final product, I'm very happy!
Installed you can hardly tell there is anything there at all. This is largely in part to the size of the LED strips. They are just over a 1/4 wide and maybe 1/16th of an inch thick. They have 3M backing and I installed them in the indention under the side molding and under the front bumper. The back didn't have a good place to put them, so they went all the way up under the rear framerail. This didn't hurt the lighting effect in the least.
Once stuck, I drilled 1/8" holes on either side of the strips about 14" apart and ran and secured them with small zip ties. This ensures that they won't break loose if the 3M gives way. The wires were all soldered and shrinkwrapped and ran inside the car for a clean look. The kit provides other crap I didn't need, but I did use the wireless reciever and the key fobs for activation.
here's the best I can do in the garage with a bad camera....
BTW, I should be beaten as the car is looking so sad... it has cobwebs and dust all over it.....
LET THE FLAMING COMMENCE!!!!!!
