What have you done to your MS3 today?

30% Tint on windows

I got my windows tinted today! 30% tint. I love it :-) Done locally at ShadesOfGrayTint.com. If you live in the Philadelphia, PA area I HIGHLY recommend this shop. Very friendly, many years of experience, and very quick. I was very impressed. Ask for Ryan!

finaly had a nice day where i didn't have family obligations...

got to install my tech one HID kit (6000K) from protophile also installed a LED foglight kit from a GB by xenon shop from the forum not to be named... lol

then i waited for the sun to go down a bit as it was way to hot and proceded to go under the car and pulled out the test pipe where my second cat should have been and also removed the midpipe from the thunder header (where the first cat should have been) having a friend weld a vibrant high flow cat into the test pipe and make it a 1.5" shorter as the exhuast shop made it to long and it was smacking on the rear axle at start up plus the tip was hanging to far out the end of the bumper he is also going to make the 02 bung closer to the exhaust flow on the midpipe to clear up the CEL the thunder header was throwing. hoping for a smooth install later tonight

all in all i think i got a lot accomplished on sunday.

next on the list is to order the clutch release lever/bearing to get my exedy sport clutch and flywheel installed as well as the mazdaspeed front and rear sway bars... soon to have a progress rear sway for sale for any interested.

Very nice, guys.
Notice any power improvement w/that fmic, Maestro? Planning a dyno run?

Dyno runs after I find a vacuum leak and and different BOV if I can't get it adjusted right. Waiting to install a wide band before I play hard with it also. Doing the basic driveability testing to make sure it's ready.

Just got it on Friday, but I put the Mazdaspeed oil cap on it! Doesn't nothing at all for performance...but it looks cool.

was able to re-install the exhaust peices i removed the 02 sensor is hitting some of the heat insulation under the car but i think it will be ok if this takes care of the cel i will take some pics and give advice on a more betterer solution with the 02 sensor... the sound is deffinatly a lot more reserved now still low and i did get it to burble a bit... deffinatly noticed a loss in the low end but above the vvt changer over it seemed pretty close to the same.

Scraped a wheel against a curb. Dammit.

I knew it was going to happen, but was hoping it wouldn't be so soon after I got the thing.

What exhaust are you talking about???

hoo hoo i did my first mod. granted it was only removing the stupid dealer emblem but it makes it soooo much better looking.

I bought some adhesive back black felt at a craft store and got rid of a lot of rattles, in particular coming from the center console.

I have never really understood that why dealers insist on putting there damn emblem on. Thank god mine did not say "POTAMKIN MAZDA" on the back of mine I would have asked for them to take it off. Big deal make the sale, put a dealer license brace on the car and hope it will last at least 6 months and done deal. Don't put emblem crap on the car man!!!!(direct)

At least thats how I feel about that.

seriously, thats how i feel about it. I mean it isn't like you get a discount for advertising their dealership, free advertising FTL. I took mine off as soon as I pulled into my driveway the first time, thank god it was small. My buddy did make the dealer take it off his P5 before he left the lot.

Just for statistical purposes i managed to get 367miles with a full tank of cheap s*** dealership 89octane gas.The reason being is,is because when you buy a brand new car form a stealership, thats what they put in it,maybe not Mercedes, but anyway i roughly got 360miles 70% highway driving. So i guess thats not bad at all.Travelling constantly at 60mph on a straight i got 40-44miles to the gallon can`t beat that for a 265hp car.OHHHHH YEahh!!!!!!

Hilarious!

I've only been able to eek out 240-260 miles TOPS. And that light has been on a while when I'm at 260.

I'm also addicted to turbos.

You heard it.... Yesterday I finished up the install of my LED Undercarriage lighting... took me 6 1/2 hours total... (I tend to be a perfectionist and I didn't want anyone to be able to tell with a glance).

I bought a thin flex LED kit on ebay.. The kit is the same as this one, only oddly enough, mine was $50 cheaper. I'm also waiting on another 24" strip for inside the grill to light it up.

http://cgi.ebay.com/4PC-RED-LED-FLEX-UNDERCAR-KIT-FLEXIBLE-Glow-Neon-FX_W0QQitemZ320110259128QQihZ011QQcategoryZ58019QQcmdZViewItem

Overall, I'm really impressed with the kit. First glance, I had my doubts, but after the final product, I'm very happy!

Installed you can hardly tell there is anything there at all. This is largely in part to the size of the LED strips. They are just over a 1/4 wide and maybe 1/16th of an inch thick. They have 3M backing and I installed them in the indention under the side molding and under the front bumper. The back didn't have a good place to put them, so they went all the way up under the rear framerail. This didn't hurt the lighting effect in the least.

Once stuck, I drilled 1/8" holes on either side of the strips about 14" apart and ran and secured them with small zip ties. This ensures that they won't break loose if the 3M gives way. The wires were all soldered and shrinkwrapped and ran inside the car for a clean look. The kit provides other crap I didn't need, but I did use the wireless reciever and the key fobs for activation.

here's the best I can do in the garage with a bad camera....

BTW, I should be beaten as the car is looking so sad... it has cobwebs and dust all over it.....
