What have you done to your MS3 today?

You all know there is a downside to a beefy tread width and wider wheel ?
Weight. Unsprung mass. or something like that
Has nothing to do with cool factor.
When i replaced my wheels/tires way back when, i weighed stockers against the 18x8.5 with 225/40s mounted.
I lost 3 pounds at each corner.
Never met and SS at the track or twisties but a with a couple mods on the turboed model, should be shown some respect.
Not alot. but some, experience tells me.
 
I always thought the turbo models could run right with us, not looking up stats and what not but thats just what I remember. Off the top of my head what 260hp and lighter than us.

Yes i recall that when the turbo came out it was faster in the reviews and outhandled us. Pisser.
My car was modded day two so any time i met with the few around i just dont know who would win the 1/4 at Leicester nyrwp or the
road course the glen.
I still see some around but the "appear" stock.
Lighter is quicker.
 
Annnnnnnd they had launch control and no-lift shift. Wonder how long their tranny lasted with that launch control....seeing how not even the first nissan gtrs got that right with an $80k car, let alone a chevy hot box

I think aside from the neon srt4 the cobalt ss/tc has the fastest 0-60 time for a factory fwd

my rx8 w/245 combination weighs exactly the same as the factory wheel/tire setup, with over an inch more gripping area per corner
 
installing a DO meth kit and HTP battery box today
You are a couple mods ahaead of me.
I will need to ask you some questions about these.
Battery box is on my short list and the Meth kit a little farther out. But i did order the intake mani with 4 meth bungs !

ECM gotta mount to something. I hope the HTP box allows that along with a quite large turbo inlet pipe

Yes the ecu is mounted to the box, I had to unwrap and rewrap the harness
 
JBR stage 2 intake, stratified stage 1 93 octane map installed; delicious. This weekend hopefully installing autotech internals and then flashing the stratified stage 2 93 map for JBR intake...delicious-er.
