What have you done to your MS3 today?

Have you rolled your fenders yet? The +30 is probably going to need a roll even with the 205s.

A 215 section width is not going to be as wide as a 205. Even considering that all tire manufacturers have their own method of measurement. But.. agreed... I can't begin to roll my eyes hard enough. Jesus, I'm thinking of going to a 255/35.

I never realized that about the 215 vs 205... (I've never considered buying a 215 :))

You going 255/35 on a 8?

Yes fenders and quarters are being rolled. If had a higher offset, Id be running a 225 or 235. I know I'm going to get all kinds of flack for it... more so for clearance and its barely even a stretch if at all. My 215/40 proxes on stockers had a section width of 8.4" and the 205's I'm getting have a section width of 8.4". These run any anywhere from 8-10mm wider. I cannot fit a 225 otherwise I would. Besides I don't track my car. Mild daily to weekends.

215 vs 205 describes the section width in millemeters and the "aspect ratio" describes the relationship in percentage between sidewall depending on the width. And I run a 8.5" wheel.

I know all that. It didn't make sense to me that a 215 would have a narrower section with than a 205. But I'm aware that tire manufacturers all do their own thing and a 205 tire from A brand isn't necessarily equal in terms of section width to B brand.

245/40/18 for example... 245 = 9.65" section width, 40 aspect ratio = 245 * .40 = 3.86" tall sidewall, 18 = obviously the diameter in inches.

ive got 245/40R18s on my 18x8 wheel

I'm running 225s on my 8's and I still rub a little in the rear on big bumps with people in the back so I didn't want to go any wider.

I already rolled 'em. :) I actually think it rubs on the bumper tab.

My ST100's do not rub, 18x8.5 ET48.

I guess not race car enough...

I had a some what modded Cobalt SS follow me from the gym last night, I would assume it did not end the way he was hoping it would.

Sc, he had a magnaflow sticker on his car so he had an exhaust but I dont know what else.

Bought my ms3 around the same time they started bringing out the turbo version, and it was all the rage. I dont hear much about them anymore, not like when it was fanboi against fanboi

I considered the ss/tc in 4door form, and the calibur srt. None of the other 4-door sport compacts for sub $20k at that time had xenons as an option, which ended up being the only real selling point I needed. Im a sucker for HIDs, and idk if I can ever go back

I rode in my buddies sc one when he had one 2 yrs ago and it seemed quick, but I hear they respond to mods really well. I never really thought of the car being slow, I know they are some what light and underrated on the hp numbers. But at no point did I think I was going to get walked unless he was some what heavily.
