What have you done to your MS3 today?

nicely done steve. good thing you're in FL and doesn't see much snow and salt. otherwise...you're engine bay would be splatered with road ice and salt/sand...lol.

maybe you can slide a wire mesh where the ds grill vent openning, so no unwanted rock/road debris can sneak in there.

James Barone Racing knob installed. haven't driven with it yet, but damn it feels and looks great. plus its super heavy. now i'm actually excited to drive to work tomorrow.

Rear mud flaps, mazdaspeed bra (thanks south Florida debris), and my rota torques put on......again. I removed my H&R springs a week ago i hated the drop, the rear was lower than the front :/ never again unless it's MS coil overs. looks and feels 100x better at stock height.

Next mod: my debt lol

Thats very strange, I've been checking on alot of member pics with H&R and never noticed the the rear is lower, some have complained that the rear isn't low enough....so did you have blown rear shocks maybe??

Went to the worst gas station I've been to in a while last night. It was an exxon, didn't want to but had to

Dte was at like 3, and I had to hit the highway so I was going to fillup. Well, not only was the pump slow (every 10 took about 2 seconds) but the ******* nozzles pressure sensor never turned it off. Therefor, gas overflow

I was staring at the numbers, too, because I saw myself approaching 12.9 gallons, which is the cold weather cutoff point for my car when I fillup from empty. At 12.9, it overflowed

That station is now on my "pass no matter what" list

New wheels!!! :D

Thanks! :D

I had some XXR 508's on it before these and I like these waaaaayyy better. Plus these show off my calipers and rotors better lol.

Went in for my first brake job at 65k! Just did the fronts, Turns out the rotors were below spec so replaced those too. New record for most miles on original brakes? HAH, Freeway driving and engine braking FTW.

Oh also found out a bushing on the front lower control arm is leaking (argh)

Thats good mileage out of the original brakes! I changed mine at around 56-57k, and that was pads shot all the way around and all my rotors were screwed. Gave me an excuse to put drilled and slotted rotors on it though lol. I try to engine brake as much as possible, but dang these curvy ass Mississippi roads and all their back road stop signs kill it lol.

The shims on my front brakes were clicking when I started moving from 1st gear so I went into the dealer and they replaced the fronts for free at 22k :) Good to know I can now go to nearly 90k with these!

Now for story time:

Ordered my new racing wheels, for the second time, and saved a ton of money this time. I originally made the order with Wheels Next before reading their reviews and about $$% myself when I read them. I saw a press release saying they were being posted by disgruntled employees so I figured I'd let it play out as some were positive and some negative. Two weeks later I had yet to receive a shipment confirmation so I gave them a call and got bounced around to a few customer service reps, each time they thought I was a new caller so they weren't telling each other they were doing this (or they were messing with me), and they finally told me that my order or information was no where to be found in their system. I told them "This is great news! I don't want you having my information! Goodbye! (click)" I then proceeded to order the same wheels from a company I was referred to by a Mazdas247 member and they will be here next week. Finally!

Long story short.....Don't order anything from Wheels Next

Oh goodness I don't remember. I know I bought it in Feb 08 with 47 miles on it, and now it has about 62,000 on it, and I have been through 2 sets of tires. But, I replace mine before they are completely bald.

Oh....I assumed since you said "first" when refering to your brake job that you were also the original owner

Muh bad

What'd you get out of your oem tires?
17k lol, I've read stories of people getting anywhere from 12-25 outta them. Really soft and expensive as Sh!t!
I'm getting ready to buy 4th set for this car at about 70k miles. I do 80% freeway driving but the roads in SoCal are brutal. Can't afford to buy summer tires anymore just don't last long enough.

Ha i barely broke 10k on my stock tires, but I autox and that beats the s*** out of them

scored a cobb fmic v1 for cheap......waiting for warmth to install

Just ordered my Koni dampers for Koni. Paid $580 SHIPPED. That's $70 cheaper than Protege Garage. I'm not really sure why no one responded to my thread. I figured people would be all over it.
