What have you done to your Miata today?

@sm1ke yes, it was nice to know someone was looking out. After getting home though I had second thoughts. I told my wife that the person who hit me left the note and left a description of the vehicle parked next to them. So jaded....hahahahaha

@Conrad 16.5 While I don't necessarily park in BFE, I do try to park further away when I am at other stores. It is harder to do so at this shopping center due to the layout. There really is no BFE area to park at.

Thanks @bazooka joe Yes, it was very nice. While I am a little upset, the bumper does have it's share of rock chips from over 119K miles of use so what are a couple of more touch up spots? haha

Agree on parking lots. People up here cut the corners and I have almost had my front end taken off a few times by it. Or they back out without looking or my big pet peeve, they back out but not all the way into their lane of travel. Then flail their arms at me because I am "blocking" them from moving forward.🤬

I see your point.

Will these last two pieces complete the under bracing?

Nice to see the butt dyno felt a difference on the road. That said, you should see a nice improvement out on the track. Plan on tracking prior to installing the rear braces just to see how much they help?
Ya, those are the last two, no probably not....no time this month

Went to a local car meet tonight, lots of great cars. The Grand National was an 8 yr project and the black paint was flawless! Guy painted it himself.....he’s an auto body guy.

With either, the issue is the tune....the tune from Edelbrock is apparently garbage. Fab9 seems to be the only one that has solved some of the issue that have resulted in melted cats and folks unable to pass inspection in some states. It’s a wait see game for me. I’m plenty happy with my “about 170ish horse” right now.

Cool shirt!

Interesting, good to know...How common is turbocharging / supercharging in the ND world?

Thanks! Blipshift

I don’t really know, but from what I read on the forums, I’d say not as common as it was for the first three gens. I think the tuning is maybe why more don’t join the fun. This what I see from 10,000 feet ;)

Something else interesting to note, as I travel around the eastern seaboard, and attended as many car shows and coffee events, there’s going to be a train load of classic and muscle cars available in the next 5-15 yrs. Unless all the old geezers are leaving their cars to relatives or museums, these cars will be up for grabs!
Case in point. This couple pictured below, he can hardly walk any longer, and can’t drive, she’s pretty spry, but both are in their middle 80’s. She bought this car from a kid who built it with us buddy in 1966. She bought in 69. She calls it her “baby”. She lovers her “nail head” Oldsmobile motor ( I think she meant Buick).
I see this same thing repeatedly at shows. I don’t see but a handful of guys or women under the age of 60 driving muscle or classic cars.

This is from Bryan at Fab9, he’s the one who has been most successful in tuning boosted high compression skyacyive Miata engine.

I find as I get older I don't see the need for forced induction. I like the sound of natural aspirated engines, also they're less complicated and more reliable. But mainly for the sound.

You may have a point Mark. But I see more old cars being turned into restomods. Seems to be a lot of aftermarket support for taking old car bodies and adding improved frame, brakes, drive train and interior.

Local car show last night. The Beamer turned into a gasser was ridiculous!

I understand your thinking, but for me nothing can match the sound of a positive displacement blower under full boost.

For anyone not already aware, Blipshift has great shirts covering both cars and motorcycles. I don't know how many I have right now but it's more than a couple.

I’m kind of ambivalent about FI. I don’t think I’m doing any weekend installations of either a turbo or supercharger kits. If the car comes with FI from the factory, I could be persuaded! I do like the dependability of a stock car specially now that I’m driving all over the place.
Blipshift shirts, Robin says I have too many! 😆

Agreed about FI. It it comes factory I am ok with it, but since my ND is my DD, I need it to be reliable.

That GN!!!! I always wanted one of those when I was younger. Guess you could say that was a "muscle car" from my era. hahahahaha

I think I have about a dozen Blipshift shirts in the closet. I also have a handful of FM shirts, now that they are selling them and a Moss Miata shirt.

In the second pic, is the guy calling his insurance?

More work done on Mia. New wheels fitted and then had to fender rolling on all 4 corners to get them stop rubbing.

Next up, replacing the old spoiler with a new one. Where do you get the 3M tape?

I carefully put the tape away when the spoiler was being painted but in my old age I can't find it.
