What have you done to your Miata today?

Only able to take a short blast up to the store earlier due to impending rain, but on that short ~4 mile run there was no sign of the stutter. I'm hopefully optimistic that I took care of that problem.
 
Found a problem w/ my new motor. This s*** is getting real, REAL old.

Time to walk away from it for a bit.

Went to my storage this morning and swapped over to my Flatouts w/Rivals. Took about an hour drive this afternoon on the back roads to do some tuning. Car is running well, no more stutter although I do still have some excess richness under boost. Need to send in my EV14 injectors and have them checked over so I can put them back in.
 
Time to walk away from it for a bit.

made my own windshield washer bottle, car didnt have one and the relocation kit i got with the car didnt work cause of the blow off valve placement. i need to make a few minor tweaks but it works

Painted the Emblems Black Mica with touch up paint i had leftover from my 3..

baked the headlights open, then blacked out the housing instead of the old black chrome that was on them.

Holy balls! What the hell did that piston chew on? Time for some fresh pistons and a trip to the steam cleaning tank I suppose.

I was reading through thinking 'what the hell could cause that?' A really bent valve or build-up on the pistons... lo and behold... ugh, I'm sorry man. Nothing for it but to push through!

Also, what is a /James fastener? I'm not sure if I should be insulted, amused, or honored. (scratch)

lol wtf? I just found where I typed that, and I have NO clue how that happened. I don't post here from my phone. I apparently just went full retard for a second.

I think that was supposed to say "stuck / rusted," or "stuck / jammed"? Maybe? I don't think I've ever said "jammed fastener" before, so that makes no sense either. I've got nothin'

Update: he's buying the motor back. I'm going to buy another motor here locally, swap some parts around, and drop it in the car. Hopefully.

I also found the correct tool to pull oil filter nipples so I can swap out the long NB one for the correct NA one to delete the oil cooler. Harbor freight sells a kit w/ 4 or 5 of them for like $8

Also, a buddy sold me his parts washer + 10gal of Mineral Spirits for $25 to get it out of his garage. It's got the pump & everything. Win!

Looks like I'm lining up a little more welding work on a local who is doing an LS3 swap into his NA. I know it's not /my/ Miata, but it still counts, right?
 
Finally got my thumb out and sent my EV14 injectors off to have them looked at. Hoping they will get back to me so I can install them before going back to work.
 
I took the Spec Miata out this past weekend. Had no issues other than putting a couple flat spots on the front tires on the first day. :D

I had passengers all day Saturday and Sunday morning, but in the first afternoon session I did 4 laps in a row better than my Friday time, here are the two best ones:
 
Data = AiM Solo
Video = GoPro Hero4 on a IO Port roll bar mount.

Tying it all together with Dashware. (Which is now owned by GoPro and a free piece of software!)

I had my heart set on a Traqmate for a looong time. But, I used the analysis software from both AiM and Traqmate and just liked the AiM stuff better.
 
Haven't been able to get on here for a couple of days, thought the forum was having problems. I was using my old bookmark for msprotege, I guess they finally dropped the link.

Decided to finally overhaul my original clutch master as the replacement I put in didn't seem to be cutting it (some difficulty shifting, fluid going dark). Got that done today since my duty dummy was home from his school trip and could provide the pumping power. Took a short test drive and it's much better.
