Wow, that looks really cool.

However, $290 buys a lot of these lights. If you don't need the cold-start like I do you can get similar fixtures for $12-13 with power cords. Add in some switched power strips and you're good to go.

Very true. I'm not sure if you leave that mat down permanently and drive over it or slide it under the car as needed.

Right now I just stick one of these: https://www.amazon.com (commissions earned) under the car and it provides plenty of light. The only thing I don't like is that it gets hot.

Over the last two days:

New rear axle seals
Bought new rear brake calipers after taking mine apart and finding loads of rust inside them
Installed a new hood seal (turns out to be pretty important for effective cooling)
Put one suspension corner's links back together

Finished up about the last of the painting I'm going to do

Need to order shocks/springs/sways and brake lines soon...

He's probably pretty close, yeah. About the only thing that's obvious is no mention of a CF driveshaft, and using the stock transmission case. Throw a Hewland or Jerico box on there to drop some weight, and a smaller battery, and yeah, there's not a whole lot more you could do in that class.
