What have you done to your Miata today?

Andrew, I could see Jen helping you load the car up on the trailer to get you to go out to an event. Haha. No question in my mind of the real reasons why you haven't been able to run.

LOL she's done it before, when I was still very new to trailering the car solo and wanted an extra pair of eyes outside the car, or needed a guide to line up the trailer & hitch. Now in the course of an hour I can have the trailer hitched, car on the trailer and tied down, and all my gear loaded up solo. In fact a lot of times having someone help me now just wastes time and they get in the way. I've got my "system" down pretty well lol

Did a datalog yesterday to see what kind of changes happened after going straight wastegate. I'm going pig ass rich again. Matter of fact, at one brief instant when I lifted at around 6500 rpm, I saw 8.5 in the AFR field. Eeek!

I thought you weren't getting enough fuel and it was pulling timing. New issue?

I still think it's the problem. I can't explain that rich bit. It runs the exact same as it was.

Here's the thing... that's the only time I've ever had a datalog that ran rich under those conditions since the issue began.

installed my 365mm nardi wood wheel this past weekend along with a nardi wood shift knob. I decided last night that i didn't really like the feel of the shift knob it was too tall for me. So i took it out and went back to my weighted voodoo knob.

got my stock plastic headlight surrounds in today. Now if the retractor arm for one of my headlight motors would come in i can install em this weekend.

Not really today, but...

Like a dumb@$$ I bought a single TSI for the driver's side. That IS the most common side to run a TSI if you were only going to run 1, except that this is my intake:

Hurr durrr.
So I posted the Driver's side one up for sale on a local Miata forum on Saturday and had it sold about an hour later, and dropped it off at Sunday's autox with the new happy owner. So, now I've got the correct one for the passenger side that's come in, so I can bolt (yep, bolt) that up tonight.

Anyone have any ideas on how to adequately secure wire mesh to plastic? Epoxy? Super glue? Duct tape? I'm technically supposed to have mesh cover over any holes left in the body that weren't there originally.

I'd say drill some holes around the perimeter and use zip-ties. Make the mesh insert bigger than the hole so you can bend it back and make a lip for the ties to attach to (think of a cup). Quick and easy, should be strong enough.

Guys, I am looking to get a hard dog m2 sport double diagonal roll bar (http://www.bethania-garage.com/m2_sport.htm ) but I was wondering if my non oem glass rear window will come down and up okay. It is designed to fit the oem glass softop but I am not sure if mine might be bigger than the oem glass, the actual glass measures 32 inches wide and 11 inches tall from top to bottom of the glass.
also, while most oem softtops have zippers to remove the glass mine does not.

I know I could just call hard dog and ask them but I was wondering if you guys might know. All i need really is to know if mine is the same size or larger than the oem glass.

Actually the OEM glass windows do not have a zipper. Only the plastic ones.

and i took this from the Hard dog site (http://www.bethania-garage.com/m2_sport.htm)
Special diagonal verisons are available* for aftermarket glass rear windows that are larger than the original equipment on the '99 - '05.

(braindead I didn't even notice that it said that.

I was told otherwise about the glass soft-top. None the less, I got the info I need.
thanks bro. (cool)

I'm on the fence about the dust and the squeal. :( Project MU was another thought... they are expensive as hell but the dust is minimal. I'll probably just go with OEM. I've gotten 90k plus outta stockers on my P5 so maybe I'll get lucky?? ;)

Dunno, I think my brake dust gives character! Plus those pads, stainless lines, and new fluid were like a night and day difference..

No problem, there are so many bars that it easily gets confused. I am stuck between the M2 sport or hardcore M2. I just like the beefier look of the hardcore one. I just don't know if its worth the extra funds.

Yeah I like the hardcore one as well. that extra meat is also extra safe. I do think the m2 sport will hold its own though. what are you planning to use your car for? if you plan on doing some more hardcore track events then I would recommend the hard core but if you plan on just doing auto-crossing I think the sports bar is enough. I plan on drifting my car on skid pads and horse thief mile at willow.

looks good! I finally was able to get to the dmv today and titled the miata in my name. I also adjusted the e brake handle and cleaned the interior. I also found out my car has a il motorsports chrome e brake button and rs button caps for the climate control panel. Oh and I made a build thread for it.
