Until last night, I didn't know that the Mazda6 shares one resavoir for brake fluid and clutch fluid (I'd never checked either). More brake fluid is required as your brakes wear. So I checked it, it was way below "Low," filled that s*** up, car shifts like a dream in combination with the RMM and Red-Line manual tranny fluid. Feels like a whole new car! Can't wait to install my MS STS and solid shifter bushings in the spring!
I didn't know this either!? Looks like I can improve my shift feel AND my spongy brakes with one nice bit of maintenance.
Just be careful when you replace the pads; you'll probably need to siphon some of the fluid out of the system. If there's more fluid than there needs to be in the reservoir, it's going to overflow when the caliper pistons are readjusted back to normal.

It will. If not I will powder coat them. My speed has yet to be modded on the exterior...so I guess its still a blank slate. I've done the black wheels on white car before...twice.
Figured I'd shoot for something different. And why not? I have yet to see a WWP Speed6 with gold vs-xx.
w've had weather colder than -25 C ( -13 F) and ive never had a problem with my screen
Don't know why i wrote Volks. I meant Works. Sorry for the confusion.
Work VS-XX 3 piece in Gold.
How'd it go?
mine does it.....like it'll go slower until it warms up...but it's an LCD screen, right? like "liquid".....and liquid does freeze at a certain temp, right?hmm, not all that common issue sounds like it. Spose ill have to tear open the dash/console and check wiring and all connections for it. *argh*
Anyone else have issues with either LCD screen blanking out when it gets really cold, like under 30F degrees?
screen returns when the car warms up, but the clock loses its time, LOL!
that reminds me.
since we been having a crazy cold front in SoCal this last week...
...believe it or not it SNOWed at elevations just 1hr north from Los Angeles.
I was driving home in a snowstorm in socal, was SOOOO weird. first snow since like 1994 i think.
So. Don't by BC suspension if you plan on raising your car high for the winter, lol. I just raised the front to literally as high as it goes, wait till I post a pic lol. And oh, I thought my car was pretty slammed (3 inches from the ground), when I measured I can actually lower it just about another 3 inches... and imagine if I had a lip lol.
I've been loafting hard with my hood dampers... I gotta get around to them soon, will post tones of pics.

was JUST about to point this out....it happened to me in my protege. spilled brake fluid all over the garage...
Thanks a lot guys, good to know. I've never done any brake work before, but I did have the pads replaced last year so they should be in good shape still. Can I just top up the fluid for a quick fix, or should I bleed the system if I'm getting the spongy feel like I might have boiled my fluid (only taken it for a few laps around a road course, not sure how long it should be good still).
