What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

SO I did the coolant bypass mod and also cleaned my intake manifold and the throttle body. Very happy with results. im making my own grounding kit and cutting some hood vents this weekend! Cant wait!!!!!! Im donig everything i can to lower engine temps and under the hood temps to hopefully lower bats and decrease heat soak.

I don't see anything about a TMIC on your mod list. I'd start there before you go cutting holes in your hood...
 
Are you serious?? cutting vents in your hood?

I think a FMIC would be a lot more beneficial. and wouldnt look like ass.
 
Ordered the CPE rear diff mount and my TT brace came in. I don't want to have to worry about it cracking in half again. On a positive note, even taking it easy I can tell the DP is going to add a little gitty up. The TMIC will be on my doorstep when I get home tonight. When that go's on and the diff brace and mount I'm done modding, it is what it is. Maybe I'll borrow a camera and take some pics.

please take pics of the diff install... some of the other writeups make it look like the biggest pain in the balls ever

Yeah, I just got a quote from Mazda of $900 on that swap. They said you have to drop the diff out and cradle. What a PITA, I'm doing further research and may do it myself.
 
Wiped the car down with a damp cloth. Then sprayed Ziano detail gloss onto the paint. This was a nice touch to after waxing it sunday. Wiped on Ziano's tire gloss. Car is turnin some more heads now. :D I might have to go out on lunch break tonight and snap some pics.

No aftermarket TMIC yet. But the hood vent will still work with a aftermarket TMIC because its not gonig to vent to the TMIC but will be simply for the engine bay heat and will vent against the back near the firewall. The hood vent will be very thin and will compliment the hood. Ill post pics once Im done.

I tried that Lucas Oil Slick Mist detailer and really liked it as well. Not too fond of them normally, but it left the paint with a great shine.

Whatever floats your boat man. I don't think I'd do it, but I'm interested to see your results.

I've been debating on moving the endlinks of the RSB to the softer setting. I still get the occasional clunk on the LCA's, but if I had to do it over again, I'd just have got the AutoExe and been done with it.
 
go on ebay and buy a stick on hood scoop... Im sorry but cutting the hood of you 18k+ car is just idiotic

In non ricey news. im going to go wash mine considering i havent washed it since early june,(it was a horrible wash) I usually have the cleanest car in the school parking lot but now im on redneck level where they leave mud on their trucks hahhaah

So what i did recently was discover my exhaust hangers are STILL banging frame, so i need to figure out a better padding method and/or get better hangers.
my old padding method basically melted! lol.
also recently got pics back from a friend from a just-for-fun photo shoot we did in downtown Los Angeles.

anywho, got my Forge BPV and Cobb TIP in the mail today, and will install them in about a half hour.

also, my car is just a trip to work and back away from reaching 70k. o.O
