What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Saw the new mazdaspeed 2 at the dealer today... Thinking about trading my MS6 in...

niiiiiiice try. but a good PS job though!

^Did you see the fact that is has an APS twin turbo kit? That is a 10,000 dollar kit alone. Puts down 549whp. This guy is in Virginia too. I am just curious if there is such a thing as too much power for a daily driver.

Too much power for a daily driver is a myth. :)

Now since thats taken care of. I wonder how reliable the setup is. the intercooler is 6" thick!

Yanked SF, TIP, HPFP, most of my fmic, egr, throttle body, and 95% of the intake mani.... the bottom PS pump bolt gave me s*** for about 2 hours. I can get a ratchet on it, but with the tools I have, I was unable to turn it (everything is in the way). So... we used a sawzal to chop a 12mm to about 4 inches, and I was able to loosen it that way, but not easily. I know not to remove that bolt. Everything else (except OCC line on bottom) is unclipped, unattached, and out of the way. It was dark out at this point as we got a late start, so we're going to finish it tomorrow.

I'd ask how/what you guys use to loosen that 12mm bolt on the bottom, but I doubt I'll get feedback in time, and I'm too lazy to make a post... I'm getting back in there in the am.

6club is still alive? interesting, glad you could still get tech feedback there, cause 6crew tech has been slow/non-existant lately. so fuel pump is not the culprit, but fuel rail is? best of luck with the used replacement, cause them new ones are ridiculously expensive. ugh

6club is alive and well, haha. I posted the same issue on here when it first occurred, but got no love. It's more that no one has ever seen this particular problem before..... lucky me! Thanks for the luck, I'll sure need it. I'm only going leave the bumper and everything else I can off that I can tomorrow just to test the fuel pressure (i.e. boost leaks galmore, I don't give a s***, won't affect what Im testing anyways). If the idle pressure doesn't return at temp, I'm just going to leave it there, and suck it up and buy a new fuel rail, and hard fuel line, and replace them.

SOOOOOOOOO SICK of this.

IDK man. Its the stock block with twin turbo. That doesnt scream relaable to me. I found another one with full exhaust and 15k miles. For $19k.

Unlike our cars a lot of LSx blocks can take a beating from FI and ask for more. I have a few local friends with FI LSx powered cars and they DD them with no more major issue than any of our cars have.

After having to call Mazda Corporate, and then emailing the regional district manager...I got my $982 for labor on the front diff replacement, down to $150.00!!! Got the parts in today, and installed today. So tomorrow after getting back in town, I get to pick her up. Then put my corksport power series intake on that has been sitting around for a week.

Sweet! This does look like a well thought out system. I believe its set to about 6psi. So nothing too crazy. 549whp sould be very fun. I should be able to handle anyone who decides to play on the street. (rockon) And if it does decide to go. I bet these motors would be cheaper and easier to replace being they are more common.

New sig pic? It's awesome.

Eeeehhhhh, I dunno about the GTO. I'm with m4tic on the G8 GXP though, it looks like a much nicer car. The GTO always seemed ugly and piggish to me, although 500+hp would be fun to play with.

Actually a G8 GT(?) drove past me the other day and I took more than a few looks at it.

I would imagine, too, that parts/motors would be cheaper to replace and work on than ours.

G8's are quite a bit heavier, if I am remembering right, when compared to a GTO. A friend of mine in St. Louis has a G8 GT with mods and he runs mid-to-low 11's in the 1/4.
