What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

vacuumed out all the winter crap from the interior. need to get some new wax for the next big weather break.

Had washer motor replaced about 2 months ago @ 100 000 km. Mechanic did not have to take the bumper off to change it.

Unless the car is on a lift where you can access the pump in a standing position, I would not recommend trying to replace the pump lying on your back. While it is doable (especially to get the pump out), you don’t have a whole lot of space to work with and most importantly you are not in a position where you can exert the force or use a tool needed to pop the seal back in (might be easier if you reuse the old seal b/c it is stretched). Even with bumper off I not could push it back in and had to use a small flat head to tuck it in via circular motion. I can’t image trying to do that with the bumper on and lying on my back. Of course, your mechanic might also be much stronger.

She has had quite a day today. Started at the DMV, got the title transferred, and got her registered in WV. Then stopped at Advance and got new plugs, Denso Iridiums. The old plugs look like the OE stuff, not ugly, but worn out for sure, the smallest gap was more than .045! So no more lumpy idle for me, LOL Lastly when I got back from lunch my HID kit was in the mailbox Wooot! So 1/2 an hour later and I have 6000K 55w HID headlights installed, oh happy day....

Filled up the tires. werent low, but werent where i like em.

filled up the back with old kids stuff that we are finally going to get out of the house.

and then she bit me in the head with the tailgate. forgot to duck once!

Ouch! I had forgotten that the tailgate will do that. I got a reminder on my second day with mine, left me a nice goose egg on my forehead LOL

Finally got around to installing the h&rs and the JBR rear sway bar. Looks better, need to finish my wheels!

Bought a Bissel portable carpet upholstery cleaner, it worked beautifully on the entire interior.
waxed the car.
now i'm thinking of getting the all weather floor mattes, how is the OEM all weather floor mattes? any good?

I would love to have some Floorliners, but the idea of spending a Benny on floormats makes me want to hork on my shoes LOL I'm working on a custom lower grille that I hope to have finished and photographed this weekend as well....

get weathertechs. i've heard the OEM mats wear out fast.

Yeah they do... I had an 08 with a manual trans. Wore out three sets (dealer warrantied them) in 33k miles. I have a 2010 automatic now and there is a big hole in the drivers side mat at 38k miles. Will have to order me a set of weathertechs also.

I replaced the turbo flange gasket. Started getting a P2096 (post catalyst lean) error code. Suspect a possible exhaust leak between the manifold and turbo but couldn't confirm. Welding a catalyst into the downpipe tomorrow while I have it out.

Finally got around to using the manual mode of the auto trans on the way home. Wow! Most certainly the most responsive manumatic I have ever driven, it does just what I tell it to do, when I tell it to. I have driven a few Hyundais with manumatics and a Chrysler, along with a Chevy or two, all of which were more matic, than manual LOL That and I knew that the auto was shifting well short of maximum power, but damn! I can hit 60MPH in the tippy top of second gear, which feels quite a bit more spritely than leaving her in "D"

We have gone through 4 Winters now on the same set of OEM winter mats. Some wear but no hole.
Wonder what you all are doing?

Something about an angry snail under the hood perchance? Didja have to do anything silly to get through the test or did it just pass as is?
