Unless the car is on a lift where you can access the pump in a standing position, I would not recommend trying to replace the pump lying on your back. While it is doable (especially to get the pump out), you don’t have a whole lot of space to work with and most importantly you are not in a position where you can exert the force or use a tool needed to pop the seal back in (might be easier if you reuse the old seal b/c it is stretched). Even with bumper off I not could push it back in and had to use a small flat head to tuck it in via circular motion. I can’t image trying to do that with the bumper on and lying on my back. Of course, your mechanic might also be much stronger.Had washer motor replaced about 2 months ago @ 100 000 km. Mechanic did not have to take the bumper off to change it.
Finally got around to installing the h&rs and the JBR rear sway bar. Looks better, need to finish my wheels!
get weathertechs. i've heard the OEM mats wear out fast.
