What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Rice mods: Got the caliper rust ground away and painted red and installed the shorty antenna.

HIDs arrived and waiting to go in once I get the relays delivered.

This past Friday:

Alignment (again): -1.4 camber, 0.0 toe front; -1.6 camber, 0.02 toe rear
Tires: 235/45-17 Sumitomo HTS A/S P01 (no rub, no fender roll) <-- these feel great! Cheap too.

Found out that NC MX-5 wheels (17x7 +55) only weigh 17 pounds. Score!
Found out that 09 MZ5 wheels (17x6.5 +52.5) weigh a whopping 21 pounds. Ouch!

Which means that my larger heavier tire on the lighter wheel still weighs 3 pounds less than the stock 205/50-17 setup.

Rearranged the spacers on the car- the 8mm are now in front so the 235 clears the BC coilover body with room to spare- which means that the top edge of the tire is JUST barely flush with the fender with the -1.4 degrees of camber. No more spacers in the rear since the rear lip is HUGE (17mm deep). Even the 5mm spacer (really 4.5mm) causes the 235 tire to rub the fender- still have tons of clearance past the inner edge of the tire though.

I'm looking for a rear spoiler but the only ones I see on eBay are the BasonR VIP style spoiler, and I wanted something more understated. Which seller did you buy yours from?

fog ballast went out so ditched the 6k's and put on 3k's with a new ballast location on the drivers side to eliminate the moisture that killed the first one!

Got the M5 undercoated. Was going to use Krown, but read a Canadian Army study on Corrosion protection coatings and decided to use Corrosion Free, surprisingly sold by Canadian Tire.

LOL! This is why I jumped on it when the seller was out of the US, ships out of Texas too! That Chinese seller was brought up before by the first guy who had this spoiler (also bought from eBay way back so this item comes and goes). Not sure when (if ever) I will get to mount it. I am sitting on a lot of stuff but just don't have the time/desire to do mods anymore.

Got a ROLA roof rack for a deal due to damaged packaging. One of the cross bars had a ding in it, but it was pretty minor. Installed this week. Looks good and seems to sit lower than OEM rack - which is fine since I don't have a sunroof.

Installed better than stock speakers (nothing fancy) and started installing sound damping - a little at a time.
