What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Fit a 41x42" table and four chairs. They were disassembled, but the table top was one piece. To get it in without taking it out of the packaging required setting it on the diagonal and giving it several hard shoves. It was so tight, only putting it the narrower direction with it perfectly angled, worked. Then one box of chairs went in just behind the front seats (another barely made it fitment) and the second chair set layed on top.

here's a pic of the car, before and after. Tint is 35% front, 20% rear.

winter tires on yesterday, on Mazda 3 alloys. Pretty good look - at least better than the steelies!

Today: blasted through 8-12" of snowfall on my way to work on my Hankook iPikes. Coulda used a bit more ground clearance, but it is what it is.

Oh, and celebrated one year with our 5, purchased one year ago today.

26,800 miles, overall 27.9 mpg, no repairs of any kind. Guess it made sense not to lease again, like we did our CX-7.

2010 Sport 5MT, tint, Katzkins, quick-shifter, and seat heaters (which felt great today, 0 in STL this morning!).

Washed it today..

I wish I could wash it...It looks like hell but we keep getting snow....Put snow tires on...So not a fan...but it works

These are the 17" steelies I first bought but they were for a rear wheel Dodge and stuck out way past the fender and rubbed

These are the 17's I ended up buying afterwards so I could make the snow tires work

Please tell me you have a better pic with those wheels on it...that looks super rad!!!
Really?(blarf)I put these on because the 19's were super bald on the inside and didnt go anywhere in a dusting of snow.....I'll take a better picture when I wash it. I might be trading it in on a MazdaSpeed 6

I want a manual tranny....I was going to turbo the 5 but it's automatic and the guy told me it would have to be a small turbo....the Speed 6 already has the turbo all wheel drive and the manual tranny. I got the 5 to fit the 4 kids and the Ms. But we are never all together and the little ones are outgrowing the back seat.If it were stick there is no way I'd get rid of it.

A family of 6 in a 5 seats car ? Good plan to never be together lol.

Don't do it, sell you automashit and buy a manual 5. You will regret it for sure if you're going for the MS6. This is a great car, but for a family of 4 MAX, you're 6 lol.

You know how hard it is to find a White manual Touring 5 in the US with out 100,000 miles.....needle in the haystack. My 2 oldest boys are over 6 feet and the two lil ones( they arent too little either...I have Giant kids....all of them except my daughter were born 9lbs 10oz she was only 7lbs 7 oz) are paying the price in the back seat...We'll just take two cars if we go somewhere...not a big deal....Will I miss it...Hell Yeah but I know I'll be happier rowing thru gears instead of tapping up and down...its not the same especially if you've driven stick your whole life. Besides the oldest will be going off to college soon and a year after that the second oldest.

we're still good w/ the M5, kids are 11, 8 and 2.
you have to do what makes most sense, as the family changes, needs change.

I've thought of an MS6 as a 2nd car, and then I saw a M6 WAGON, V6 6 speed! now THAT would be cool!

Scheduled it for service next Tuesday at the Mazda Dealer near me. Two reasons:

1. A friend noticed (I didn't) that the left tail light is not properly mounted/aligned. The light is much closer to the hatch than the right side one is, and there's a HUGE gap between the light and the panel around the side at the leading edge. I don't know if it got pushed out of place somehow(?) or if it came from the factory like that.

2. My wife pointed out that when the wipers are on high and the windshield is very slippery (as in clean and wet) the left wiper actually goes beyond the edge of the glass, and hits the A-pillar with a loud click! I had swapped out the wiper blades, 'cause the stock ones were terrible, and thought that might be the problem, but I swapped the stockers back in, and they do it too. Incidentally:

Try taking a razor blade and scrapping it end to end (one smooth motion, back and forth). Many times the wiper blade tips are just stuck with dirty build up and scraping it will help clear it out.

Might be spent some time outdoors at the dealer before the sale? My 06 ones lasted 3 years or so. Try cleaning them gently with a wipe and Windex, sometimes they are just filthy

...when I put the stock blades back on, I cleaned them with Windex and they seem to work much better now. This is good because I never did find a rear blade replacement, and it was still crappy.

Hopefully, they can adjust the "stop point" on the wiper motors so that the wiper stops whacking the pillar. I'd rather not lose paint, and the noise is driving my wife nuts!

Washed her and took a couple pics

Truth is with me that I'm in the 5 95% of the time alone......God I wish she was a 5 speed

who uses the wipers on high? i dont think i ever have.

the only thing i really did lately is turn the baby seat around to front facing.

needs a wash and an oil change.

Im digging those wheels Kid

the only thing i really did lately is turn the baby seat around to front facing.

ahh I cant wait for that day!

I installed some 6k HID's in the fogs today since I was snowed in with little else to really do...cant wait for spring though...got a few projects stacked up for the 5 waiting for warmer temps

Hauled Cargo

I needed a new water heater. A boxed 50-gallon unit fit in the back just fine (with room to spare all around) which kind of surprised the person at the wholesaler.

My kids were more interested in the box than in hot water...
