What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Got the 5 back from the dealer Tuesday night. They took care of the taillight and adjusted the wiper, under warranty. I'm happy, and the wiper won't give my wife a headache driving home in heavy rain, so she's happy, so I'm happy! ;)

I washed it finally and cleaned out the interior. Less than 24 hours later, the 1yo projectile vomited and I found myself cleaning inside again. Thank goodness for All-Weather mats, car seat protectors under the child seat and kick guards for the seat backs. Cleaning the car seat was beyond awful, but the car emerged unscathed (although distinctly strawberry yogurt smelling).

Traded her in on a Mazdaspeed6.....I kept the wheels put them on the Speed6 and am not a huge fan of them on so I'm selling them in the marketplace

Nice ride. I took one for a test drive a while back = lots of fun! I wouldn't trade my GTX for one, but I would love to have one parked beside it in the garage... :)

bought her a new companion. well, leased to be more exact.

they match now.

bye bye protege.

hello 2011 mazda6.

she is 13 inches longer than the 5, so they had to switch spots in the garage since the door would be partially blocked.

mazda6i touring.

so, the 2.5L i4. plenty of get up for me.

with my trade in, $121 a month for 24 months... $0 down, and 15000 miles a year. too good of a deal to pass up.

the protege needed lots of work, front wheel bearing, tires, brakes, and was going to cost a lot to get her to where i wanted to drive her longer.

$121/mo for 24 mo? Well... no daily latte for you for 730 days! ;) What's the buy out at the end?

now gonna buy it, but i think it is $15K or so.

and buying a 23K car would be $380/month for 5 years. so i think it is a deal. and i wont lose my butt in trade in either. i was looking to buy something later this year, but this, and the fact that my protege was getting worse, made me go earlier. plus, i heard the sky engines will be around in 2014, so this will get me close to that.

received my air suspension kit in the mail today from universal air...ill have it on in a couple weeks!

definitely post pics when you get it installed...did you just get their universal 2 strut 2 coil kit?

I upgraded the tank and the compressors and the hose to 1/2 inch and got a lot of extras cost about $3000. I'll be posting pics .

Forgive my ignorance but what would air suspension give you other than adjustable ride height?

I live in michigan so having a slammed car all year round isnt possible and since i make payments on it i wont be storing it over the winter. so my only options are coilovers or air ride.
plus i think it will be sweet and it will be a smoother ride.

If it had a "kneeling" function, I would be all for it. It could stop the kids from dragging their darned toes across my side skirts getting in! ;)

LOL. You made me laugh how you called the Mazda5 a "she". I thought it was a more masculine car. Or how about just calling it "it".
