To this (had to dig down 10 inches and remove all the construction debris from the dirt):

Picking up the 411 base material and paver sand after work today. I already have the concrete pavers, should have a completed porch and flowerbed by the end of the weekend if all goes as planned. :D

^ Looking forward to seeing finished project.

It ended up being record breaking hot over the weekend and some family came into town from Michigan. So looks like the ETA is now this thursday evening unless the heat doesnt break.

Bump the thread.

It got nice here lately and I was reminded that spring is coming..

Here are some shots of the Car Home.

Ripped out all the linoleum and remaining carpet (we tore the carpet over hardwood out of the bedrooms and hallway between tuesday when we closed friday when we moved in back in 2011), replaced with 650 sq ft of laminate... first 9 pics are of the "finished" (I still need to trim out) product, and the in progress at the end of each day go back from there. Once you see awesome 1980s vinyl you've reached the "before". I started the demo friday night, and finished this evening. Not bad for watching a sick kid for 2 of those days.

Im sure you know what you're doing but make sure that flange on the toilet is properly sealed... My mom and I didnt seal the gasket thingy to the base and well, things got messy quick. nd that was in our second floor bathroom. She was sad since it was the Pergo stuff. Now we have tile down :)

Ill post up a few projects my moms undertaken. When the basement comes to light, ill be sure to throw up some pics of that.

bought a house about a week and a half ago...

started the first big project over the past weekend, not quite done, still need to tackle the countertop (going to end up with a mocha brown color with white/tan/brown/black flake) need hit the doors and drawers with a second coat of paint, and repaint the range cover/fan BUT its come along pretty damn well for a weekends worth of work

before (god awful Mickey Mouse theme, already had removed the Mickey "stickers" they had above the cabinets in this pic)

So Santos, was it worse making it that color, or fixing it?

And on topic:
Ordered up all the parts to redo my kitchen lighting. Going with recessed LED GU10 style bulbs.

that's alot of paint.

This weekend just pulled weeds and came up with plans for building some shelves in the garage. Nothing picture worthy but did find 2 tiny snakes near the deck.

Lights are in... Not as bright as I thought they'd be but well distributed so it works very well. Both the middle lights are 2-bulb, then a pair of singles on each side in the "front" of the kitchen. Man do I hate crawling around in attics.
