Have you tried the Pennzoil ultra platinum? Pretty good reviews, very popular from that project farm yt channel on testing etc. I've had really good results using if so far. They had a really good sale a few months back at CT... With the MIR, it was $28.99 for the 5L jug. (Max 10L purchase)

Just picked mine up from Walmart yesterday. It was $26.49 USD for the Ultra Platinum and $24.28 for the Platinum. Not bad at all. I got both as I have two Mazda motors that I care for.

I bought some Quaker State High MIleage Full Synthetic on sale at Walmart for $20+, but they also had some Pennzoil "FULL SYNTHETIC" . They don't mention on the bottle if the lower priced FULL SYNTHETIC is also produced from natural gas.
I prefer the Pennzoil for my Mazda, but I buy whatever for my 'other' car.

Got some Yokohama Geolandar A/T GO15 tires in 265/50/20 installed in preparation for winter. I was going to run the Pirellis until I came across these at a price I couldn't ignore. Definitely not as quiet, as expected, but still much quieter than Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2s. The sidewalls look great too. It'll be nice to try a new winter tire alternative.

This weekend it's supposed to warm up quite a bit, so it'll be a great time to do a diff and AT fluid change.

Getting to the rear diff was a bit of a pain. I couldn't do it if I didn't have one of those fluid pumps that I ran using the cars battery.

I went with Mazda brand A/T fluid and Valvoline diff fluid. So far so good

NOTE: For anyone planning to do their own ATF service, if you have one of those cheap Bluetooth OBD2 readers, you can download a free Android app to get the ATF temp readout. The app I used is called "Car Scanner ELM OBD2", from developer Car Scanner LLC.

Diff fluid and ATF changed over the weekend. I also got the front bumper off to install the JB4 extensions, so now I just need to connect everything in the engine bay and find a home for the module.

Agreed, the rear diff's fill plug location is what makes this service a little annoying to DIY. I used a manual hand pump to fill the diff.

Installed a Dongar Pro dashcam adapter to power my dashcam. Initially I got the standard Dongar rearview mirror tap thinking it would supply constant power, but its designed to only supply switched power when then ignition is on. The Dongar Pro gives me a few choices - switched power with the ignition on, a timer that provides power for up to 4 hours after ignition off, or constant power. In the winter, I usually unplug my dashcam to give the battery a better chance at starting the engine. Now I can just flip a switch, and even if I forget to do that, the Dongar Pro has a low voltage cutoff.
