What have you done to your CX-9 today?

That depends on the tire shop. When I got quotes to have new tires mounted for my Miata, a couple of shops included RFB at no extra charge but their M&B charges were extra whereas some shops charged as much as $43 per tire to RFB them. Their M&B charges were cheaper but by $10-15 per tire.
Okay, well Discount doesn't charge extra.

There is one local but not a member. I am a member at Sam's Club though. Will have to see if they offer it.

Doesn’t serve too much of a purpose but I got a Lamco boost gauge from a Subaru and installed it in the little cubby forward of the shifter. It’s nice to glance at when passing or going up a hill. I didn’t hook up the lights but I think I like it that way, it’s not obvious.

So I have a GR86 with AWE touring exhaust for 2 years. Love that sound in the boxer engine. Now the kids are getting older, I have to sell the car and can only keep the CX-9. The design on the muffler is quite similar between GR86 and CX-9 so I went to a muffler shop and have them welded the AWE muffler from the GR86 on to the CX-9. I kept the stock resonator and cat from the CX-9 because I don't want it loud.

It turned out surprisingly nice rumble sound without being obnoxious. All I have to say the same muffler on different cars do make a huge difference!

Nice work. I'm surprised that was an easy fitment.

Would you say it sounds similar to this?

Can you share a clip of inside and outside sound with this upgrade..?

Haven't had a chance to post in the last few months. So busy with two young children, and work, but here is a little summary of the last three months work...and some from today! My 2019 CX-9 just crossed 57,000~ km / 35,000~ miles

New rear rotors & pads
Transfer case & rear differential service (fluid drain & fill)
Transmission drain & fill
New spark plugs
New tires - Pirelli Scorpion AS3 for summer - Nice ride over the last 3+ months I've had them on.
A very light SOS pad on the SS tips. Wild carbon buildup over the winter.
My yearly replacement of the air & cabin filter

And today's fun! A wash, vacuum, window clean, quick wax, and 303 treatment to the interior before another few summer road trips around BC.

Hey everyone,

Today I switched the location of my front license plate. Originally, it was center-mounted, but now I have it off-center. I used a tow-hook license plate mount. I think it makes the car look much much better. Obviously no front plate would be the dream, but I live in NY where we’re mandated to have a front plate.

The dealership had drilled into the bumper to install the center license plate mount, so I got paint-matched bumper plugs to cover the holes.

Let me know what you guys think!

Nice! I used to have my plate mounted there too for a while. Had to find a different solution when I was removing the plate to take off the front bumper. The screw that holds the plate holder onto the threaded rod that screws into the frame, stripped off. I decided not to buy another rho-plate after that.

I also decided to switch the location because my car has the front parking sensors. The plate was close enough to them that it would trigger the sensors constantly.

I have the 2016 model year so I don’t have any front parking sensors or camera. You win some, you lose some hahaha. I do sometimes wish I had them as parking in NYC is something else.

Installed the Ceika coilovers on the 9. I had them on for about 2 months before taking them off and just going back to lowering springs. Nothing wrong with the coilovers but I guess I’m just a set it and forget it kind of guy. The coilovers had so much adjustability and I didn’t have the time to have the car in the garage to adjust up or down and mess with it. I work nights and my wife uses the car during the day so the 9 doesn’t really have any down time. I have two young kids and on the weekends we usually have activities. With the lowering springs it was just installed and forgotten about. I was going to return the coilovers but I didn’t realize I had a 15 day return window. I’ll be putting them up on FB marketplace and the classifieds. I don’t have time to down the 9 like that with my life schedule unfortunately.

Damn, looks like someone will be getting a great deal on quality coilovers soon lol. I would have loved to snap these up, but after installing springs, I'm actually pretty happy with the ride height now.
