so driving my p5 on the daily.....my clutch is finally slipping.....push the gas and im lucky if i even get anywhere....so anyday now......im counting down.....so figuring it needs to be replaced....what should i but.....clutch master stage 1 or stage 3.....my car is stock engine wise but eventually its going to get better.....but in the mean time if i dont have all these horses pulling me.....should i go with the 1 or the 3......?any help is greatly appreciated......

How much power are we talking here? Stage 3 is gonna be a b**** to drive daily.

It all depends on the timeframe. If more horsepower is in the immediate future, then maybe you should get the stage 3. If power is a couple years off, then get the stage 1, and then you'd end up upgrading the clutch later again anyways after 2 years of driving it...

Why do you say that? It really depends on how the clutch is built. I have a Spec (soon to be Competition Clutch with the engine swap) 6 puck solid hub cerametallic clutch in my 95 Civic daily driver. It's almost as smooth as stock. The reason why is marcel in the clutch which helps smooth engagement.

Now in my track car, I have a 6 puck cerametallic sprung hub Competition Clutch clutch. It has zero marcel, so engagement is harsh and immediate. Since it's a track car it really doesn't matter, but for a street car, I'd want a clutch with some marcel in the disk.

^^ good info. Maybe someday I'll need a new clutch, and now I don't need to be afraid of getting anything higher than a Stage 1
