The local stealer low balled me on our pristine, low mileage '06 Honda Ridgeline (pissed). I sold it on Craig's List the same week for $3k more. As a result, we purchased our '15 Touring from the dealer in the next town. The Ridgeline was a very capable, comfortable machine but CX-5 is much more fun to drive and is ~10mpg more fuel efficent across the board.

That's what happened most of time if we're trying to trade in used car to a dealer. We're asking the trade-in price for our hail-damaged 9K-mile 2016 GT w/Tech, the best they'd do was $19K as is, 22K if we fixed the damage! About $10K were gone for a year of the ownership. Craig's List is a good place selling our used cars!
Honda Ridgeline is a nice pickup. But it can never catch the popularity and Honda had to stop selling it a couple of years ago. This is one of the many failed attempts of their products in recent years. Hybrid is another one of them.

Honda must not agree it's a complete bust considering the 2017 Ridgeline is due out this Fall...it will be more conventional with truck sides and such, along with better towing...

Oh, Honda is going to try again on Ridgine? Good luck with Honda's recent R&D track record! For one, Honda doesn't have a V8 like Toyota does or a diesel for a real pickup. Secondly, their V6 is the only V6 still using timing belt which requires expensive periodical replacement. The VCM, again the only V6 using this problematic cylinder deactivation system, sucks too!

I didn't say I agreed with it...Honda has the 4 cylinder game under check, though. Best engines made IMO, and probably always will be...
Speaking of diesels in trucks, smaller ones at that, the New Nissan Diesel powered truck is pretty sweet...still like Yotas the best when it comes to trucks, though...

Love the Toyotas too, especially Tacoma's. They take a serious beating and never quit.
I traded in a pickup for my CX-5, but it was a 2007 GMC Canyon Z71 4x4 Crew Cab w/ 3.7L 5-cyl. A good truck that was always solid for me. Great vehicle for backpacking in PA & WV. This new CX-5 should get me to most of the spots that GMC got me to, but I haven't had a chance to take it out there yet.

Traded in a 2006 Scion tC. Fully loaded with all kinds of mods, and I was the original owner for all 10.5 years I owned it (got it in 2005 new off the lot). But since my dog is the size of the car, I figured something bigger would be more comfortable for the both of us.
We traded in our 2011 mazda3 S hatch with 56k. They must have really wanted the sell us a car because they quoted me an outrageous price for a car they had not seen. Even after I told them someone keyed the passenger side doors and someone ran into the rear bumper scuffing the paint on the bumper. They started with 8k and by the end they offered 10k Plus paying off the 1.8k left on the loan. Not to bad considering I paid 18k with 0% APR 5 years ago.

2014 Genesis Coupe Premium. Loved that car, for the price it felt incredibly, for lack of a better word, "premium." Fun to drive, and it looked cool as hell

We don't have kids, but we have pets, we take road trips several times a year, things that were difficult in the Coupe, especially since the backseat is basically a joke. Missed it at first, but two weeks with the CX-5, and I'm content with my choice. Wife is happy too, so hey, that's also important, right??

Wife is happy too, so hey, that's also important, right??2002 Nissan Sentra Ser Spec V 164,xxx miles on it, and I've had it since 2005 with 36k miles on it. Loved the car(never had any problems with the car unlike so many others), nothing was wrong with it other than needing to be repainted, for the maintenance was well kept. I sold it to my brother in law who blew up his truck, and I miss this car everyday(no more clutch, and the CX5 is my first auto vehicle). I debated getting another vehicle for about 3 years(won't get something if I'm not sure). We had an Escape. It had problems after problems, so my wife traded it in for a new 15 Corolla in December of 14. We shortly realized that we need a larger vehicle for the boy and dog. A year and 2 months later, I got the 16.5 CX5 new. Everything has been great other than the paint and a rotor was warped at 600 miles(believed car was warped from the beginning). I have a couple of chips in it, and three of them have no sign of impact. I've read several other posts online with people having the same issue.

Traded my 2005 Mazda6 for the 2016 CX-5 GT because I got tired of replacing the constantly seizing e-brake caliper on my 6. And it was starting to rust around the rear wheel wells something wicked. I just LOVE the new found space in my CX-5!

Likely because it's a Ridgeline. For example, I got $2K over KBB Trade-in on my Grand Jeep Cherokee with busted sunroof and leaking transmission. Why? Because it's desirable as hell. No, it's not a "good vehicle", but it sure as hell is popular, lol

What did you think of the gen coupe? I looked at them a few years ago, but the consensus was that the front end pushed pretty bad in the corners. Did they revise that?

I never felt what you mentioned, but I didn't really do a lot of hard cornering, if that was where it occurred. I had the Premium trim, which was the automatic 4-cylinder, so it probably was not as spirited a drive as the manual V6, but it did have a lot of the amenities that the base V6 lacked for a lot less (I got the 2014 in 2015, last 2014 on the lot, they practically gave it away). I do miss it, I especially miss the sort of "one with the car" feeling you got from being in such a tight space with that firm steering feel, but I'll get over it. Maybe when the wife decides she wants her own SUV, I can get another coupe

I traded my 2015 Mazda3 GT hatchback for a 2016.5 CX-5 Touring AWD. I wasn't happy with the lack of space in the 3 (I'm 6'7"), and the car just didn't track well on the highway. This CX-5, on the other hand, is spacious, quiet, and perfect for longer drives.
