Well....I ****** up

Yeah, I wondered about that "looked up" as well. Sorry for your loss. It's good you lived to learn the lesson.

I had a lot less damage than that two months after getting the car and it was over 9k. Add the fenders, airbag and a bunch more incidentals. They just might total it.

you do if Beyonce just got hit in the face by a GMC Truck...suddenly Ugly Betty isnt so ugly anymore...
Why would he do that? His car is awesome!! Common you don't go from Beyonce to Ugly Betty, do you? :)

Glad to hear you are ok man.

easily totalled. insurance looks to see the cost of repair to include parts and labor. and according to my insurance company as it approaches 70% of the vehicle's value they make it a total loss

here's a couple things...just a wiring harness in the front of the engine bay is $1500, both headlights are gonna be like over $1000. not to mention that the frame's crumple zones are all comprimised.

Just a note about insurance and totalling: My sister got T-boned in her 2001 Tacoma. Totally the other person's fault. I called my Allstate agent to ask about the criteria behind 'totalling' a vehicle. 70 - 75% USED to be the guideline, but anymore....insurance companies do whichever is cheaper. My sister's truck Bluebooked at $7400. The original estimate was around $5000, and they began repairs. After a couple of days, they found that the rear axle was bent, which sent the total repair to around $7000. Still not totalled. It's fixed and back on the road.
