This morning I was driving back from my girlfriend's on the way to work, and was experiencing the exact same cooler morning air and my MSP was lovin it. well lowe and behold I ran into the WS6 again (i guess we take the same route to work) I rolled down my window to ask tell him nice car etc etc and he's like "Yea I remember you yesterday, your car's really nice blah blah" Turns out he drives a ******* V6 transmarobird and slapped on the WS6 emblem and spoiler! WTF?! He was telling me "I just wanted a car that looked cool blah blah" I told him good job, he duped me...

I guess that explains why I actually thought he was trying to race me (cuz he was) but it just wasnt a real WS6... So boohoo for me, i only got a V6 (i wouldnt have even listed this as a kill)...

So officially:

How do you put a WS6 emblem on the Spoiler??

Once you know what to look for it should be easy to tell a real from a fake. Base V6 birds don't have the same front facia as Trans Ams and they only made a few hundred (not sure exactly on the #'s) WS6 Formulas from 98-02. Also the sound should tell you right away.

I would think the V6 would give you a pretty good fight too though...they do have more HP and torque than a MSP, but they do probably weigh in 400+ LBS more too.

I didnt mean that the emblem was on the spoiler, jsut that it had both the emblem and the spoiler. As for the sound, i mean, he had dual exhaust and he musta had hollywood mufflers or somethin, but then again you hear some of the old 3.1 cavaliers? they got that rumble. anyways, yea im man enuf to admit it after i find out the truth, i was duped, its not really my fault, other than i should have been able to tell...

there's no mistaking the roar and rumble from an LS1... especially with a v6. that's like saying the mazda protege can be made to sound like a mustang. can't do it. the motor sounds completely different. even with dual exhaust, the pitch of the exhaust note would be completely different and the way the car sounds both at idle and at WOT will be completely different.

pska is just bitter cause he asked about my favorite car and i answered him. (1967 shelby cobra 427). he thought he stumped me. anyway, i don't think they made sound recordings of the LS1 engine... especially with a direct comparison to the v6. the way i know is that i've BEEN IN a camaro SS as well as driven behind it. and i've also heard the neighbor's v6 camaro with flowmasters. you'd gotta be as big a moron as pska to not realize the difference.

well, let's see... did i not explain myself in the PM? the shelby cobra never officially released a 1/4 mile time. there were independent tests and what not, but what it came down to was the amount of flexibility the end user had in configuring the car. you can have it optioned out and weigh in at close to 2800 pounds or you can save some weight, cut back on some option configurations, use the racing body shell from 1963 and have the car weigh in at a mere 2000 pounds. you don't think 800 pounds makes a difference in the quarter mile times? sheesh, keep PM's private. else i am forced to make you look like the ignorant idiot you are in front of all these other people.
